AMPLIFIED 2015 | Exodus 4:21 ¶ The LORD said to Moses, "When you return to Egypt, see that you perform before Pharaoh all the wonders (miracles) which I have put in your hand, but I will harden his heart and make him stubborn so that he will not let the people go. |
Subject: Why was his heart hardened? |
Bible Note: Yes you are correct in your understanding of what I was attempting to convey. Take for example the verse to which you drew my attention, i.e. Ex 4:21. in this verse our Lord not only says that He will harden Pharaoh's heart but reminds Moses to be sure to perform all the miracles that the Lord had put in his power. Now why do you think it is put this way?, because it is as a result of these miracles that Moses must perform that Pharaoh's heart will be hardened, after all it is God who performs the miracles, Moses is just the agent through whom it is done. P.S. I will deal with your question on Ezekiel. and 2nd Peter seperatly. Every blessing. Edwin. |
