Subject: Why was his heart hardened? |
Bible Note: Hi Edwin, I just want to be clear on what you are saying. When the Bible says the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, it was actually Pharaoh hardening his own heart in response to what the LORD was doing through Moses? In the same way, when you preach to a crowd who rejects the message, you have hardened their hearts by submitting them to a circumstance to which they harden their hearts? So the actual work of hardening one's heart is done by the person who's heart is hardened, and is attributed to the one who provided the circumstance which this person responded to? Is this a correct portrayal of your view? Love in Christ, Mark |
