Subject: What did God give to Jesus? |
Bible Note: EdB Interesting observation - I am connecting this parable to Eph 1:18,"I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints," . . . To me, the Church is also not only the Bride, but also part of His inheritance - which will be realized when we all get to Heaven. I also see people as the Lord's treasure - to me, this is what we can "lay up in Heaven"; people are true riches - do we value other as much as the Lord does? (How much do you value the man who cuts you off on the highway?) This gives new meaning to me as I consider what the Lord treasures . . . "Where your treasure is, your heart will be also." As I contemplate upon the "worth" of mankind to God, I am humbled and awed; I am also ashamed that I have so far to go with Him to love and value as He does. But He knows this . . . Blessings on your day. mommapbs |
