Subject: "I pray Thee" Earnestly implore? |
Bible Note: Hi justme, How do I talk with God? I'm probably pretty formal more times than not, using the Thee and Thou words. But as Reed says here in the thread, we all pray just as we want and feel. Just do it, as they say. I would say that you are doing well from what you have told me. I can appreciate also the dependance we have upon Him for living one day at a time in our particular instances (although it is that way for everyone, whether they feel that way or not). One other thing that I might comment on in passing if your phrasing of "the Holy Father". It brought to mind the 'Holy Father" of John 17:11 which starts the sentence and the "O righteous Father" of John 17:25 where it is not the first word. In other words, is His name Holy. I know that Ezekiel 39:25 says "I will be jealous for My holy name." But is His name Holy or Jealous? Exodus 34:14. I spoke with Kalos about that some time ago and meant to bring it up with him yet again some time. Good talking with you. I had written to you earlier but I had it lost in cyberspace. What a bummer.
