Bible Question:
In the former 1977 copyright of the NASB this verse reads, "Now, O my God, I pray Thee..." This probably was changed in the 1995 version to make it sound less formal perhaps; perhaps for some other reason. My question is: how formal should we be when we talk to God? How much do we have to beseech or beg when we pray to Him? From the heart, Ray |
Bible Answer: Greetings Ray! May I say I often start my prayer with "Holy Father..." There are times I will address God as Lord Almighty Yahweh, even My Father. I do not address our Holy Father, in any other term except that which reflects my adoration, reverance, and my most worthy terms of indearment. I also praise Jesus for being my Lord and confess my sim and seek His wisdom, and His direct will for my life. I believe having become so dependant upon His daily support for my life to continue has changed how I respond to the Holy Father and Jesus my Saviour. I am so undeserving of the mercy and grace extended to me. Ray what how do you talk with God? Blessings dear brother. justme |
