Bible Note: Hi Mommapbs, When we look at things from God's perspective do we go right away to a bold-faced WE? I agree that we are loved and treasured by God as His possession; but I am not sure that we are His inheritance. Looking at Ephesians 1:18 I would say that the inheritance in the saints is that spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. That Holy Spirit or holy spirit is the down payment and pledge of our inheritance. So really I should be expressing the balance that is there. God hears our words from His dwelling place, but from God's perspective we should be hearing His words of treasure. Psalm 5:1, "Give ear to my words, O (Lord), Consider my groaning. Heed the sound of my cry for help, my King, and my God, For to Thee do I pray. In the morning, O Lord, Thou wilt hear my voice; In the morning I will order my prayer to Thee/ and eagerly watch." 2 Chronicles 6:15, "who has kept with (Thy) servant David, my father, that which Thou has promised [Lit. spoken to] him; indeed, Thou hast spoken with Thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with Thy hand, as it is this day." So we pray to our King and our God and He hears; and the things that He promised to David, He has spoken with His mouth. It is a two-way conversation. John 8:47, "He who is of God hears the words of (God)..." From the heart, Ray |
