Subject: Who did Cain marry to have children? |
Bible Note: Answers in Genesis (www.answersingenesis.org) explains it in terms of genetic mutation/degradation. Adam and Eve were created perfect, therefore had perfect genetic information in their DNA. From the Fall (which affected the whole of Creation) onwards, mutation (DNA degradation) started to set in, but for many generations, was so slight that brothers marrying sisters would not have caused genetic defects. By the time of Moses, genetic degradation had increased to a level that the law about close intermarraige had to be brought in. God is very practical isn't He?! By the way, this means that the Human Genome Project has mapped a genome with many generations of degradation in it!! What a waste of time! |
