Subject: Are we all descendants of Adam and Eve? |
Bible Note: Just Read Mark: In your referral to the Genesis accounts of creation, Noah's flood, and the tower of Babel you say, "God has presented these myths for us to live by." Specifically, how does one live by a myth? And at what chapter and verse does Genesis switch from myth to fact? And why do you suppose would the Genesis writer begin with myth and all of a sudden switch to historical fact? Insofar as I've ever been able to determine, there is nothing else in the Bible, Old Testament or New, including the words of Jesus Himself, that supports the view that the initial chapters of Genesis are mythical accounts of creation, the flood, the tower of Babel. Upon what do you base your view that the opening chapters of Genesis are mythical? --Hank |
