Subject: Are we all descendants of Adam and Eve? |
Bible Note: Hello "Mark", I'm afraid much of what you have written went right over my head. Due to illness, age and medications, my comprhension level is somewhat lacking. When I read the Bible, unless passages are obviously, metaphors, hyperbole, parables, etc, I tend to take them literally. I love to discuss the Bible and am not trying to argue. (Though quite frequently my family tells me my discussions sound like aruements to them. On other matters, I have no one with whom I can really discuss the Bible.) I just don't understand what you mean when you say the meaning is true, but not to be taken literally. Now I do understand Paul speaking in a metaphor. I just accept the creation story as being literal. But whether it is or not is not relevant. as long as you say, the meaning is understood. Which is the fall of man and the need for a savior. Thank God, one was provided in Jesus. God bless, Kat |
