941 | Rev 8:7 grass burned -9:4 no more grass? | Revelation | CDBJ | 18692
Locusts are known for harming plant life, not humans, this is pointed out to us by, words of accommodation, the command, do not harm the (CHORTOS) i.e. vegetation to show that these are a special kind of locusts that afflict only those that don't have the seal of God on their foreheads. These are not your average run of the mill locusts.

944 | Empty Justification? | Revelation | CDBJ | 36051
Hi Charis, I think that you are starting to sense the same thing that I did, that's why I quit. There are many who will not listen to sound doctrine, even if numerous amounts of Scripture run counter to what they believe or have been taught. Some things can become so entrenched in a person's mind that nothing short of a miracle can dislodge it. Maybe that is why the Bible calls it being noble when a person has an open mind then proves everything out with Scripture! Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Some times one feels like they are beating their head on a brick wall when the truth is so obvious and people can't see it; I guess that is why it's called a forum. Yours in Christ, CDBJ |

947 | What's sky rolling up like scroll mean? | Revelation | CDBJ | 65615
Greetings Chusarcik, I think that the answer to your question, Revelation 6:14 says "The sky receeded like a scroll rolling up...", is found in the verses before and after Rev. 6:14. It would appear that there is a supernatural darkness around the earth that came about as a result of Rev. 6:12-13 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; [13] And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. The word earthquake could also be translated super volcano, which we know puts out a huge amount of ash that could cause the condition mentioned. In order for verses 15 through 17 to take place God will perform something spectacular so that all will be looking up when He returns. All of the obstruction that has been blocking out the light from the sun moon and stars will be removed suddenly and low and behold there will be the Almighty sitting on His throne. There will no doubt in any ones mind what is going to happen next because that is expressed in Rev. 6:16-17 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: [17] For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? Rev. 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. |

948 | Is the milenium literal or figurative? | Revelation | CDBJ | 74666
Hello Italian_Honey, and welcome to the forum. Your question, “Is the millennium literal or figurative?” I am going to tell you that it is just as real as a heart attack. Do you understand what I mean? I’m sure you know about heart attacks. I just used what is known as a figure of speech to convey a point to you. There are many such figures of speech that are used in the book of Revelation. I didn’t say it was a heart attack, because I used the word “AS” to show the comparison. This sets up what is called a SIMILE. There are many figures of speech like this through out Revelation some are easer to spot then others. There are metaphors and some real hard ones to spot called idioms. It is the use of these figures of speech that make it tough to understand sometimes but yes it in fact going to be a real situation and my hope is that people will have taken the proper steps to be ready when it all comes to pass. The best thing that we can do is to put our undivided trust in God’s plan. That plan involves His precious Son Jesus Christ. God promises those that completely trust in his Son the gift of eternal life. Ephes. 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. There will be a real tribulation and a real millennium that will follow after God's wrath. Have a nice day, CDBJ |

954 | in rev 7:9 what significance do the palm | Revelation | CDBJ | 187825
Hi Shantrell and welcome to the forum, Here is a section from the Revelation Commentary, which is a great help and it's free. a good one to save as a favorite. http://www.revelationcommentary.org/ 8. Palm branches in their hands immediately reminds of us of the Lord’s entrance into Jerusalem days before His death. The palm frond is an ancient symbol of victory. That these individuals are no doubt waving them before God the Father and God the Son suggests a celebration is taking place. John 12:13 records a similar event. The multitude waved palm fronds before the Lord as He rode into Jerusalem. They said, "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord (God the Father), even the King of Israel." 955 | which book about satan castout of heaven | Revelation | CDBJ | 190108
Greetings and welcome to the forum. I believe you might be looking for the verses in Revelation. Rev. 12:7-17 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 9So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. 12Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time." 13Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. 14But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. 15So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. 16But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. 959 | Where is Hell | Revelation | CDBJ | 206682
This might answer your question. Matthew 12:40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. By adding these verses together it informs us of the location of Hades. 1 Peter 3:18-19 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, 19by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, Matthew 12:40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. Luke 16:19-24 19"There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. 20But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, 21desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. 23And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24Then he cried and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.' That is kind of a round about way of finding the location but I think the guy who said it is really fishing to say the least!! Have fun on the forum, CDBJ |
