61 | What it the Bible's calling fornication? | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 23908
Bill, Fornication in the Old Testament is 2181 in the hebrew of the Strong's Concordance means committing adultery continually in the feminine sense, commit idolatry. Also 8457 in the Old Testament in the hebrew means whoredom, harlotry. In the New Testament its 1608 in the Greek in the Strong's Concordance, meaning utterly unchaste, giving over to fornication, unclean, loss of innocence, immoral, an awful thing. As for kissing being fornication, well kissing to the point of necking which can lead to lust and to foreplay which leads to sexual intercourse is fornication when out of marriage. When two people come together this way, you two become one. In Genesis 2:24 it says Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh. You notice it says wife, because when you come together sexually you are his wife in the sight of God. Also in 1 Cor. 7:8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows. It is good for them if they abide (remain) even as I. Verse 9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn. And we are also to be an example to our children. In Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; And when he is old, he will not depart from it. In old times past throughout the world many cultures when two go in the tent or dwelling they're single, when they come out they're married. Their were no marriage licenses of paper in the days of old. But what's important is that you remain chaste in the sight of God. In the Father's Love, Serenetime
62 | unmarried couple kissing | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 23900
A kiss on the cheek is fine in public. It's improper to go beyond this. I don't know if you are a female or male, but discretion is called for with good manners in public. I don't perticularly like seeing any couple kissing in public beyond the scope of a kiss on the cheek. I find it offensive. As for necking even in private, you need to be very careful as not to allow it to go beyond and lead to a temptation of lustful desire, something that may be regretted. We are to be examples of chasteness to others, and in representing The Father God. In the Love Of the Father, Serenetime
63 | can you help me defind Zion | 1 Kin 8:1 | serenetime | 23315
dltlshines, I agree with everything I have read, but just a added note, the spelling Zion is only in the Old Testament, which is number 6726 in the Hebrew of the Strongs Concordance, meaning as a permanent Capitol, a mountain in Jerusalem. In the New Testament the number is 4622 with the spelling of Sion, meaning a hill of Jerusalem, the church militant or triumphant. Hope this helps. Serenetime
64 | Is lusting after wife sin? | Matt 5:28 | serenetime | 23313
Xchngdlife, I have looked up the word lust only in some new testament scriptures. In Matt.5,28 the word lust is 1937 in the Greek, epithumeo, To set the heart upon, long for rightfully or otherwise. It is the same in James 4,2. In Rom.7,7 the word is 1939 in the Greek is epithumia, meaning a longing for, especially what is forbidden. In 1 Cor. 10,6 it is 1938 in the Greek, epithumetes, meaning a craver, to lust after and comes from 1937. In the New World Dictionary for Lust it says, pleasure, delight, appetite, to be eager, also it says a desire to gratify the senses, bodily appetite, sexual desire, seeking unrestrained gratification, etc. Lusting for your wife is a good thing. As long as it's only your wife. Serenetime
65 | Gen.3:15 | Gen 3:15 | serenetime | 22210
Hi Quester, In Gen. 3:15, And I will put emnity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her Seed; It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. The word emnity is 342 in the hebrew meaning hatred, hostility. The word seed is in the hebrew 2233 is sowing time, posterity, from 2232 sow, to disseminate, concieve seed. It, in the hebrew 1931, this or that, as or are. Shall bruise in the hebrew is 7779 to gape, snap at, to overwelm, break, cover. Thy head in the hebrew is 7218, meaning to shake the head, of place, time, rank. And thou, is 859 in the hebrew, thou or thee, ye or you. His heel in the hebrew 6119 a heel as protuberant, hence a track, the rear of an army, horse hoof, last, lier in wait. From 6117 To seize by the heel, also to restrain, supplant. I will put hatred, hostility between thee and the woman, between thy seed, posterity and her seed posterity, and concieving seed. It, this or that. Shall bruise, to gape, overwelm, cover, Thy head, meaning to shake the head, as time, place, rank. And thou, thee or thou, ye or you. Shall bruise, to gape, to snap at, overwelm, cover. His heel, hence a track, the rear of an army. I hope this does not confuse you. I found the translation back to the original hebrew in the Strong's Concordance. This is the King James Version. I hope this helps. Serenetime
66 | Is it wrong to be cremated? | NT general Archive 1 | serenetime | 22198
Hi Lizah, I don't think that cremation apposes God. In Gen. 3:19 it says, In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto the dust shalt thou return. Also in Gen. 40:19 it says,Yet within three days shall Pharoah lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee. Here it's saying that the flesh is destroyed in another way. Also in 1Cor. 13:3 it says, And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. In 1 Cor. 15:50 it says, Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. So you see the flesh is not worthy of inheriting the kingdom of God. I hope this helps. In Love, Serenetime
67 | What can you get your prayer life back? | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 20881
Yogi, in Roman 10:17, it says, So then faith cometh by hearing , and hearing by the word of God. Do you have faith. If faith cometh by hearing, then are you hearing the word by a good teacher in your area. Yes you should read scripture to build up yourself, but without hearing, and I mean truly hearing the word of God by one who can rightly divide the word of truth, then this May be your problem. A good teacher is one who will not take a scripture here and there and give his own interpretation of it, but will read chapter by chapter, verse by verse. I hope this helps and yes your prayers to the Father in Jesus name in sincere need for wisdom and knowledge is a MUST. In Love, Serenetime
68 | Does my Pastor have to live in my state? | Heb 13:17 | serenetime | 22160
Mincc, I also have in the past have listened and excepted a pastor from another state. First of all, if you feel that the pastors in your area are not teaching the true word of God, and have doubt to this and are happy with your relationship via radio or television, then who am I to object. But I hope that you are supporting this ministry. Also are staying in the Word of God and am communicating with your questions. Yes, we need to be held accountable, but shall we be to a pastor or pastors in your area who you feel are not biblically correct. 2 Tim. 2:15, Seek the Father daily. Your Friend, Serenetime
69 | Explain Chapter 5 | 1 Corinthians | serenetime | 22155
Racersedge, I agree with all that I have heard. If this is found among the church and the church is allowing this to happen and continue on, what does that say. That they have become complacent to the activity and calous. So not only does the individuals involved need to repent, but the church members as well for allowing it to be among them. If not, this will lead into more and more allowances. This is a pretty strong sin in the church, and yes I agree, only when the church feels that true repentance has been made, but not only to them, but to Jesus most of all. They have to realize what they have done, and realize that IT IS WRONG. Everyone gave excellent scriptures to back up it all. The church is to be the bride of Christ. 70 | Women teaching or in authority | 1 Timothy | serenetime | 21561
Hi Brad, I disagree on what it says in Verse 14, the reason is first Eve was formed to be a help for Adam. Adam was to be the dresser of the garden. When Eve partook of the deception, where was Adam. Adam was responsible for the garden and for her, and he didn't try to stop her, but took of it and ate also. Eve wasn't the only one punished. It's like you and I go out and vandalise a home, just an example, but at first you didn't want to be involved, but changed your mind and decided to do the same. Is it right that only I get punished. No, we both did it and should both be punished. In verse 1 Timothy 2:12 "I do not allow a woman to teach, this is not saying that Jesus said it. this is Timothy talking about what he wants. Take off these flesh bodies and what do you have. No difference. It has nothing to do with our fleshly sexual origin, this what I believe. God will use whatever and whomever he chooses to teach and speak for him, a rock, a ass, a woman or man. In Acts 10:34, God is no respecter of person's. and in Number 22:21-34, The angel of the Lord used a ass to speak to Balaam. just my belief and interpretation considering there are other scriptures about Jesus, when the men brought Mary magdeline to him because they said whe was a adulteress and caught in the very act. To stone her, and Jesus says, he who is without sin cast the first stone. If Jesus felt she was worth something then so should we. Serenetime for real.
71 | Who are the Gog and Magog? | Rev 20:8 | serenetime | 21338
Hi Joy, Just another scripture regarding your question. In Ezekiel 39:11 it says, And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will give unto Gog a place there of graves IN Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the noses of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog, and all his multitude: and they call it The valley of Hamon-gog. This is what is referred to as the battle of Armageddon. Hope this helps you in your desire for a better understanding of The Father's Word Serenetime
72 | please explain someone | Luke 2:52 | serenetime | 21322
Hi, It is beyond me where Mr.Hagee got this idea. The only scriptures I can find regarding Jesus as a child is in Luke 2:43-52. Nowhere can anyone get this information out of the scriptures. They do call Jesus rabbi in the gospels, meaning teacher. But I'm sorry it is not scriptural what Pastor Hagee says. In the Father's Love, Serenetime
73 | is naked picture of your spouse wrong | Phil 4:8 | serenetime | 21321
Hi Raychel, I really don't think that it's wrong. The fact that it's a picture of the spouse, what's the problem? The fact is ,is that if the spouse was there, then they would see each other naked everyday! In Gen. 2:23 it says, therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one. The fact they are only looking a naked picture of the spouse, and not another person, then it's ok! In the Father's Love, Serenetime
74 | What does each Seal represent? | Rev 5:1 | serenetime | 21320
Hi Peaches, Tim gave an excellent break down of the seals, and what they say. In Rev.5:1, it goes back to the original language the word "seal" is translated, in the greek the word is (sphragis) a signet (a fencing in or protecting from misappropation); the stamp impressed (as a mark of privacy, or genuineness), literally or figuratively:-seal. Hope this helps, In the Father's love, Serenetime
75 | Is it okay for women to wear pants? | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 20919
Hi boyyank, I don't understand why churches have man made traditions like this. I was in an apostalic church years ago where you were asked to not wear pants to church, That was fine and understandable, but as time went on it became where you shouldn't wear pants ever. They even went so far as to say a friend of mine had backslidden and she was not longer saved, because a church member saw her in her yard wearing pant's. Do you see where it goes. They get so focused on man made traditons that they loose sight of why were together and the reason why were saved. This is just my personal opinion, but do you really think that God and Jesus really care if women wear pant's on our own time. It doesn't make us any less feminine and becoming as godly women. Didn't back in Jesus's day the men wore long robes like dresses, and in battle men could grab from behind them and bring the back of their skirt between their legs to cover themselves? Wasn't this called girding your loins? I believe so. Yes women should be an example to other women what's becoming of a godly woman. Now since I got that out of the way, their are scriptures regarding how women are to be in all of their lives is in 1Tim.2:8-10. Verse 8,I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.Verse 9, In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array. Verse 10, But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. I don't see there where women can't wear pants. It's always a good idea to read the whole chapter so you can get a better understanding of what the chapter as a whole is talking about. As you will notice in the next verse it says that women are to keep silence in the church, and so on. I know it says that, but I know that My Father will use whomever he chooses to get the truth told. I doesn't matter if it's male or female, rock or animal. See with humans, take of the flesh and what do you have??? In the Old Testament there is scriptures in Numbers 22:28-31, Verse 28, And the Lord opened the mouth of the ass, and said unto Balaam, what have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times? Verse 29, And Balaam said unto the ass, "Because thou has mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee." Verse 30, And the ass said unto Balaam, "Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee?" And he said,"Nay." Verse 31,Then the Lord opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the Angel of the Lord standing in the way, and His sword drawn in His hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face. And so on. So you see what I'm trying to tell you. We need to focus on his word and search them out. You see, the bible can be taught on three different levels. I strongly suggest all believers get a Strong's Exhaustive Concordance when studying the scriptures. In translate the Old Testament back to it's original language, Hebrew and Chaldee. and the New testament back to the Greek. You'll be amazed how the word will open up to you. I hope this was helpful. 76 | Is the Rapture mentioned in the OT? | Matt 24:3 | serenetime | 20885
Kalos, I do know that there is scripture that is against it. Ezekiel 13:19,20. V19:And will ye pollute Me among My People for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to My People that hear your lies? V20: Wherefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly. It's best to read the whole chapter because surrounding verses help in the full meaning of the Lord God's anger. Hope this helps. Love for the true Father, Serenetime
77 | Origin of Rapture of the Church doctrine | Matt 24:3 | serenetime | 20685
Hi stjones, Through my studies I have found that previously before the 1830's the doctrine of the rapture was never taught. A woman named Margaret Mcdonald had a vision regarding this, and the vision spread. Margaret even felt afterwards that it was not right. She was from Glasgow, Scotland. Their are a few scriptures that people use in the new testament, but like any other scripture by itself can be taken out of contexts. Check out about Margaret Mcdonald yourself. I hope this helps. 78 | Information about the "fish" | Matt 4:18 | serenetime | 20684
When Jesus told his disciples in Matt.4:19, Follow me and I will make you fishers of men. They related to this because in Matt.4:18 they were casting their nets in the sea of Galilee. That was their livelihood. They saw Jesus walking on the water. He was the teacher, and they learned from him, and his ways. So this is where I believe the fish emblem came from. Also in scripture is sometimes calls the sea, the nations. I hope this helps. Of the True Father, Serenetime
79 | should you tithe | Malachi | serenetime | 15243
Lillie, I believe you should tithe only to a church where you learning the true word of God. If you are not being fed to the point where it's not opening up your understanding to the true word, then God would not want you to support this church. For instance, it's my experience that where they don't teach chapter by chapter, verse by verse, then you are not getting the whole story of the book. Many times churches will give you a verse, and then give you a whole story on that verse by whoever is teaching at the time. Alot of times it's taken completely out of context. We need to start from the beginning of the chapter and read the whole thing in order to get the true meaning of that verse. I find using a Strong's Concordance is very helpful, because it translates back to the original Hebrew,Chaldee, and in the New testament, the Greek. The way it was originally written before translated into English. Tithing is good in order to support your church and to get blessed by the Father. I don't agree with ten percent of your gross though. I guess people teach this according to the book of Malachi. Which is in the Old testament, and alot of people will say that's the old covenant. Were in a new covenant now, but when it comes to tithing they have no problem going back to the Old. You can support your church and be blessed without the ten percent of your gross, and it's still faith. Your helping to continue to get the true word of God taught. Take Care, Serenetime
80 | Marriage/divorce (believer/unbeliever) | 1 Cor 7:13 | serenetime | 20019
First of all we would have to know why the unbelieving spouse wants the divorce. So many different circumstances. If their is abuse, physical/ or mental to the believer or unbeliever or to the children, then why would they want to stay married anyway? No one deserves this. Paul speaks specifically in 1 Cor. 7:12 that, But to the rest I speak, not the Lord. This is Paul speaking on his own account first of all. He specifies that it's his own opinion. Just because the unbelieving one states he/she wants a divorce but will not proceed. This spouse may be hoping that things will work out, but holds on hoping things will change. But how long can you go on? It sounds to me that the unbelieving spouse is hoping for a shred of hope for the marriage. But may be unrealistic. This is so vague. Very hard to answer. Should we try to work it out or shouldn't we? It sounds like the unbelieving spouse still has love for the believing spouse. But when things are not good, and I'm talking about physical and or mental abuse, and when one or both is not willing to get some help, no one should continue on unless a good christian counselor is available and both are willing. The word viable means in the Webster Encyclopedia, born alive sufficiently developed to live; capable of living and growth. we're talking about living and growth In 1 Cor.7:16, it states, For what knowest thou O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife? If you continue to stay in the marriage even when there is abuse, and I speak only on abuse and unresolved differences, whatever it may be,unless there is an honest effort to resolve and rehabilitate on both parts , then it's already over. The Father wants us to be honest with ourselves and to each other. The Father wants us to be in Love, and to cherish one another. The Father is Love, and we as physical beings cannot fathom his Love, but we have a glimpse of it. Once this has all been attempted, and there's no resolve, then I feel it's time to move on. Your friend always, Serenetime
