Bible Question:
Where did the use of the "fish" I see on cars come from. what is the significance of this symbol, does it have any reference in the Bible. Thanks for your responce. wodke@aol.com |
Bible Answer: When Jesus told his disciples in Matt.4:19, Follow me and I will make you fishers of men. They related to this because in Matt.4:18 they were casting their nets in the sea of Galilee. That was their livelihood. They saw Jesus walking on the water. He was the teacher, and they learned from him, and his ways. So this is where I believe the fish emblem came from. Also in scripture is sometimes calls the sea, the nations. I hope this helps. Of the True Father, Serenetime |
