61 | Man, woman take on sins of each other | 1 Cor 6:16 | serenetime | 27704
Gretsch42, In 1Cor.6:16, where it says "he which is joined" is #2853, Kollao, from kolla, ("to glue") to stick, cleave, keep company. "to a harlot" #4204, porne, a strumpet, an idolater.Coming from #4205, pornos, to sell as akin as the base of #4097. to #4097,piprasko, a male prostitute ( as venal) a debauchee (libertine). "body" #4983, soma, the body as a sound whole, slave. "flesh" #4561, sarx, flesh, as stripped of skin, the meat of an animal (as food) body as opposed to soul and spirit. symbol of what is external, human nature with it's frailities (physically or morally) as passions, carnally minded, fleshly. There are other scriptures that are similar like Gen.2:24, Matt.19:5-6, Eph.5:31, Mark10:7-9. In Gen. 2:24, where it says "and shall cleave" it's #1692, dabaq, to impinge, cling, adhere, to catch by pursuit, follow close, overtake. "unto his wife" #802, ishshah, nashiym, a woman, adulteress, wife, woman. It comes from #582, enowsh, properly a mortal, differing from man. Bloodthirsty, chapman. "flesh" #1320 basar, flesh from it's freshness, body, person. In Mark19:5, "shall cleave" her is the same as 1Cor.6:16 #2853 where it says "which is joined". "wife" is #1135, gune, a woman, especially wife. "twain" #1417, duo, a primary numeral (two) both. "flesh" #4561, same as 1Cor.6:16. But in Mark19:6, where it says God it is #2316, theos, uncertain iffinity, a diety, the supreme diety, magistrate. "hath joined together" #4801, suzeugnumi, to yoke together, conjoin in marriage. "put asunder" #5563, chorizo, to place room between, to go away, depart, separate. From #5561, chora through the idea of empty expanse, a room, a space of territory. Eph.5:31, "shall be joined" #4347, proskallao, to glue to, to adhere, cleave. "wife" #1135 same as Matt.19:5, gune. "flesh" #4561, sarx, same as 1Cor.6:16, Matt.19:5. Mark10:7, "cleave" #4347, proskallao, same as Eph.5:31. "wife" #1135, gune, same as Eph.5:31,Matt.19:5. Mark10:9,"God" #2316, theos, same as Matt.19:6. So you see that there are similarities in these verses, but some slight differences like in 1Cor.6:16 it says which is joined, In Gen.2:24 it and shall cleave, Matt.19:5, says shall cleave, but the meanings are slightly different. Also in 1Cor.6:16 it says to a harlot, thus differing from Gen. and Matt. and Eph., and Mark. Harlot is #4205, pornos in the greek meaning to sell coming from #4097, a male prostitute, etc. and so on. As for the joining, and cleaving are slightly different in meaning. But most importantly in Gen.2:24, for flesh it says body as opposed from the soul and spirit. Symbol of what is external. It doesn't mean we are one as becoming one in soul and spirit. They remain separate and each one has his or her own sins, didn't God give us free will and that remains separate. We are to work out our own salvation, but when married it's a partnership. I hope I was helpful. In the Father's LOVE, Serenetime
62 | Marriage/divorce (believer/unbeliever) | 1 Cor 7:13 | serenetime | 20019
First of all we would have to know why the unbelieving spouse wants the divorce. So many different circumstances. If their is abuse, physical/ or mental to the believer or unbeliever or to the children, then why would they want to stay married anyway? No one deserves this. Paul speaks specifically in 1 Cor. 7:12 that, But to the rest I speak, not the Lord. This is Paul speaking on his own account first of all. He specifies that it's his own opinion. Just because the unbelieving one states he/she wants a divorce but will not proceed. This spouse may be hoping that things will work out, but holds on hoping things will change. But how long can you go on? It sounds to me that the unbelieving spouse is hoping for a shred of hope for the marriage. But may be unrealistic. This is so vague. Very hard to answer. Should we try to work it out or shouldn't we? It sounds like the unbelieving spouse still has love for the believing spouse. But when things are not good, and I'm talking about physical and or mental abuse, and when one or both is not willing to get some help, no one should continue on unless a good christian counselor is available and both are willing. The word viable means in the Webster Encyclopedia, born alive sufficiently developed to live; capable of living and growth. we're talking about living and growth In 1 Cor.7:16, it states, For what knowest thou O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife? If you continue to stay in the marriage even when there is abuse, and I speak only on abuse and unresolved differences, whatever it may be,unless there is an honest effort to resolve and rehabilitate on both parts , then it's already over. The Father wants us to be honest with ourselves and to each other. The Father wants us to be in Love, and to cherish one another. The Father is Love, and we as physical beings cannot fathom his Love, but we have a glimpse of it. Once this has all been attempted, and there's no resolve, then I feel it's time to move on. 63 | please explain uncomely Icorth7vs36 | 1 Cor 7:36 | serenetime | 44457
k peace, Hi! and I am so glad you are here. I love your question and just to give a another perspective regarding your question. I went back to the original Greek of the New Testament and this is what is really interesting is that in the Greek according the Strongs Exhaustive and Dictionary it renders the translation of the words "he behaveth himself uncomely" in verse 36 of 1cor. 7 as these words of the scripture as having the translation of- NT:807 aschemoneo (as-kay-mon-eh-o); from NT:809; to be (i.e. act) unbecoming: KJV - behaveself uncomely (unseemly). NT:809 askemon (as-kay-mone); from NT:1 (as a negative particle) and a presumed derivative of NT:2192 (in the sense of its congener NT:4976); properly, shapeless, i.e. (figuratively) inelegant: KJV - uncomely. NT:1 a (al fah); of Hebrew origin; the first letter of the alphabet; figuratively, only (from its use as a numeral) the first: KJV - Alpha. Often used (usually an, before a vowel) also in composition (as a contraction from NT:427) in the sense of privation; so, in many words, beginning with this letter; occasionally in the sense of union (as a contraction of NT:260). NT:427 aneu (an-yoo); a primary particle; without: KJV - without. Compare NT:1. from this we can get our own understanding, but we should always pray to the Father of Truth for Wisdom and understanding of His Truth. I hope I have helped also. SERENETIME |

64 | does God ever say no | 2 Cor 12:7 | serenetime | 39194
Cody, In 2 Cor 12:7-9 it says, 7) And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 8) For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9) And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. KJV In verse 7) he was given a thorn in his side because of the abundance of revelations that were shown to him, so he would not exalt himself to highly than he should. Also that he should be buffeted by satan to keep him humble. In verse 9, the word grace in the original Greek means, NT:5485 charis (khar-ece); from NT:5463; graciousness (as gratifying), of manner or act (abstract or concrete; literal, figurative or spiritual; especially the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life; including gratitude): KJV - acceptable, benefit, favour, gift, grace (-ious), joy, liberality, pleasure, thank (-s, -worthy). NT:5463 chairo (khah-ee-ro); a primary verb; to be "cheerful", i.e. calmly happy or well-off; impersonally, especially as salutation (on meeting or parting), be well: KJV - farewell, be glad, God speed, greeting, hall, joy (-fully), rejoice. And the word grace in all the NT has the same meaning except in (James 1:11) which is #2143 in the Greek. The word sufficient in the original Greek is NT:714 arkeo (ar-keh-o); apparently a primary verb (but probably akin to NT:142 through the idea of raising a barrier); properly, to ward off, i.e. (by implication) to avail (figuratively, be satisfactory): KJV - be content, be enough, suffice, be sufficient. NT:142 airo (ah-ee-ro); a primary root; to lift up; by implication, to take up or away; figuratively, to raise (the voice), keep in suspense (the mind), specially, to sail away (i.e. weigh anchor); by Hebraism (compare OT:5375) to expiate sin: KJV - away with, bear (up), carry, lift up, loose, make to doubt, put away, remove, take (away, up). OT:5375 nasa (naw-saw); or nacah (Ps 4:6 [OT:7]) (naw-saw); a primitive root; to lift, in a great variety of applications, literal and figurative, absol. and rel. (as follows): KJV - accept, advance, arise, (able to, (armor), suffer to) bear (-er, up), bring (forth), burn, carry (away), cast, contain, desire, ease, exact, exalt (self), extol, fetch, forgive, furnish, further, give, go on, help, high, hold up, honorable (man), lade, lay, lift (self) up, lofty, marry, magnify, X needs, obtain, pardon, raise (up), receive, regard, respect, set (up), spare, stir up, swear, take (away, up), X utterly, wear, yield. OT:7 abad (Aramaic) (ab-ad); corresponding to OT:6: KJV - destroy, perish. OT:6 abad (aw-bad); a primitive root; properly, to wander away, i.e. lose oneself; by implication to perish (causative, destroy): KJV - break, destroy (-uction), not escape, fail, lose, (cause to, make) perish, spend, X and surely, take, be undone, X utterly, be void of, have no way to flee. In it being sufficient, I see that it's to be satisfied, to raise up a barrier (of protection) (in trusting God The Father in all things) To be content (in what he gives us). Having full reliance on HIM in order to humble us. Be enough (we have ALL of what we need) and in #142 it says to expiate sin. The word expiate in the New World Dictionary: To make satisfaction or atonement, to appease, to make amends or reparation for wrongdoing or guilt, to atone for. Also it says, to pay the penalty of; to suffer for. This is where Iesous (Jesus) comes in where he paid the penalty, and suffered for us that we may be forgiven for our shortcomings in this age. So you see we are to content, that we don't exalt ourselves any higher that we need to, and to keep full reliance on the Father and and trusting him. To keep ourselves humble before him. I hope I've helped. In the Love of the Living Water of My Father, SERENETIME |

65 | Measure of maturity | Eph 4:13 | serenetime | 52422
Tefo, I believe that maturity is a finality. We are constantly learning and this finality will not be until the Messiah comes and teaches us all things. I know it says in scripture that the holy spirit teaches us all things, but I truly know that we are continuously learning until we will know all things which is when we see him face to face and we take off corruption and put on incorruption. John 4:25 25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. KJV Do you agree? SERENETIME |

66 | Forget and reach for what? | Phil 3:13 | serenetime | 28288
Mommapbs, It would be best to read the whole chapter to understand what is being said here. Obviously Paul is saying is that what is past is but dung verse 8, but what he is saying that in the flesh and the things he used to do in the law is but dung, that through the excellency of through Jesus Christ he counts all what is before is worthless, so forgetting what lies behind and looking forward to what lies ahead. Like when we are saved, all past is washed away, behold all things are new. we have a new start. I hope this helps. Don't linger on your past, you are now a new creature. Serenetime
67 | is naked picture of your spouse wrong | Phil 4:8 | serenetime | 21321
Hi Raychel, I really don't think that it's wrong. The fact that it's a picture of the spouse, what's the problem? The fact is ,is that if the spouse was there, then they would see each other naked everyday! In Gen. 2:23 it says, therefore shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one. The fact they are only looking a naked picture of the spouse, and not another person, then it's ok! In the Father's Love, Serenetime
68 | info on marriage how to treat each outh | Col 3:18 | serenetime | 34080
Hey rlm, There are several scriptures regarding love. Not only in marriage, but in loving one another.Matt 5:43 43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. KJV Matt 22:37 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. KJV Mark 12:33 33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. KJV Luke 6:27 27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, KJV Luke 10:27 27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. KJV John 15:12 12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. KJV Having used only a couple of verses in the general. Now lets look at marriage. Eph 5:25-30 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. KJV Eph 5:33 33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. KJV We are to love one another even if it's not what we want. Because God is love, and we are his example. But I show you a great mystery.I believe that we all need to humble one's self. 69 | Women teaching or in authority | 1 Timothy | serenetime | 21561
Hi Brad, I disagree on what it says in Verse 14, the reason is first Eve was formed to be a help for Adam. Adam was to be the dresser of the garden. When Eve partook of the deception, where was Adam. Adam was responsible for the garden and for her, and he didn't try to stop her, but took of it and ate also. Eve wasn't the only one punished. It's like you and I go out and vandalise a home, just an example, but at first you didn't want to be involved, but changed your mind and decided to do the same. Is it right that only I get punished. No, we both did it and should both be punished. In verse 1 Timothy 2:12 "I do not allow a woman to teach, this is not saying that Jesus said it. this is Timothy talking about what he wants. Take off these flesh bodies and what do you have. No difference. It has nothing to do with our fleshly sexual origin, this what I believe. God will use whatever and whomever he chooses to teach and speak for him, a rock, a ass, a woman or man. In Acts 10:34, God is no respecter of person's. and in Number 22:21-34, The angel of the Lord used a ass to speak to Balaam. just my belief and interpretation considering there are other scriptures about Jesus, when the men brought Mary magdeline to him because they said whe was a adulteress and caught in the very act. To stone her, and Jesus says, he who is without sin cast the first stone. If Jesus felt she was worth something then so should we. Serenetime for real.
70 | What is "Inspiration"? -- correction | 2 Tim 3:16 | serenetime | 58688
Hi Kalos, I agree, but then again not all men that claim they are men of God are inspired by The Father. They can say they are, but I feel by having a deep relationship with him through Iesous (Jesus) and a continuous strong prayer life and desire to know his Word with a deep understanding gives you a deeper understanding of our Father's letter to us. Then you get a confirmation in your heart by the Father that what this person is saying is Truth. It comes down to us being responsible of knowing what is false and what isn't. I feel that their are many authors out there are also being led by something else (not God) as to confuse Christians and leading them astray. For instance in Matt. Matt 24:5 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. KJV Their not actually saying they are Christ, but claim to (know) Christ, and are decieving many. That's why it is so important to study in depth for one's self. Phil 2:12 12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Do you feel that even in some churches out their there are shown signs and wonders that are not scriptual from men and women whom claim this of God? And also that claim they are not prophet's, and are not and are decieving many? Mark 13:22 22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. KJV "seduce" is translated- NT:635 apoplanao (ap-op-lan-ah'-o); from NT:575 and NT:4105; to lead astray (figuratively); passively, to stray (from truth): KJV - err, seduce. NT:575 apo (apo'); a primary particle; "off," i.e. away (from something near), in various senses (of place, time, or relation; literal or figurative): KJV - (X here-) after, ago, at, because of, before, by (the space of), for (-th), from, in, (out) of, off, (up-) on (-ce), since, with. In composition (as a prefix) it usually denotes separation, departure, cessation, completion, reversal, etc. NT:4105 planao (plan-ah'-o); from NT:4106; to (properly, cause to) roam (from safety, truth, or virtue): KJV - go astray, deceive, err, seduce, wander, be out of the way. I think this is pretty heavy stuff and should not be taken lightly, wouldn't you agree? I do agree with the styles being different per man of God, because everyone has an individual personality and way about them. Our Salvation is our own, and our's alone, and it's our own responsibility to know what is false teaching and what is truth, our lives depend on it. What do you think? 73 | Empty inside being a Roman Catholic? | James 2:17 | serenetime | 28314
Catrose62, I wouldn't be so bad but the catholic are one's to not allow their members to think for themselves. Of course you are to believe what they say to believe in. But what is that saying? You don't have a mind for yourself. They idolize the Pope and he is just a man. You're suppose to confess your sins to a priest and then he translates these confession to the pope and he is the intercessor to God to get forgiveness. Please, do you know how much that this is elevating man?? Jesus came to earth in a man body, but it was God. God so loves us that he sent his son, it says, but it is him in a human body, with the spirit of God. With man and trusting in man only, man will fail you every time. Man is not perfect. So, then you're to elevate Mary above Jesus. It's the same thing again elevating man over God. Yes she was blessed to concieve Jesus, but no more, and certainly not to the extent that Catholics believe. They actual worship her. Gee, sounds like the Pope. We all have free will and God gave us an intellect to search and read the scriptures for ourselves. The problem is is that you actually have to work at it, but you will be blessed beyond measure. i know it's hard to leave what you have been led to think was right for so long, but get the heck out of there. I'll be here for you. In Love of the true Word. Serenetime
74 | What does this mean? | James 4:2 | serenetime | 46232
Sushod, Hi and it so good to hear from you. Regarding James 4:2, I have another observation. James 4:2 2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. KJV First you lust, and why do you lust, because you (DESIRE) something that is unatainable really because it is contrary to LOVE and by Love you truly obtain what is profitable, ye kill and desire to have, but by killing do you really obtain by killing the MOST IMPORTANT thing that is really needed in LOVE, and then ye fight and war, and ye have not because ye ask not. You fight and war for what you feel is rightfully yours, but ye ask not because if you truly trust in the Father then all things are yours and there's not need for all of this. But if your mind and heart is in lust in all three areas. Doesn't it say in, Matt 7:7-8 7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. KJV I can see in this verse that if we do things in the lust of the flesh we will never obtain what is truly important in LOVE of the Father through Iesous (Jesus). We need to trust our Father. But then again there are others that Lust and are not of the Father. Do you agree? I hope I have been a help, In the Living Water of Truth, SERENETIME |

75 | GOD MANIFESTED INTO FLESH TO BECOME JESU | 1 John 4:2 | serenetime | 28333
Superlotto, John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Also 1Tim. 3:16, And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, recieved up into glory. 76 | Rev 1:20 | Rev 1:20 | serenetime | 27917
Branon51, Hi, I just wanted to mention that if you go to Rev.1:10, it says that John was in the Spirit on the Lord's day. So lets remember this is the day Jesus returns. Check out 1Thess4:13-18. It says in verse 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of god: and the dead in Christ shall rise first, verse 17,then we which are alive, and remain, shall be caught together with them in the clouds to meet the lord in the air. Also in 1Cor.15:38-41. Paul is explaining in verse 39 the differences of the flesh bodies of men and beasts, fish, birds. Verse 40 is telling us that there are differences in the the bodies of heaven, celestial, terrestrial. Verse 41, say's there is glory of the sun and moon, and stars and that stars differ from one another. I always advice everyone that it is always a good practice to read he whole chapter of the books to get a better understanding. Now in 1Cor.15:52 That we will change in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trump shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. verse 54 says mortal puts on immortality. So here we see in all these passages, that this is the Lord's day, and that the last trump has sounded, and the dead are rising incorruptible, and we have changed from mortal to immortality (Spiritual). and we see that there was most definitely angels with Jesus. It further shows us this in 2Thess.1:7, and to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels. All of chapter 1 is good to read and all of chapter 2 is also good to read because he is trying to reassure us and not be troubled by his first letter to us. So in Rev.1:10, we now can see that John has changed into immortality, into the Spirit, and he heard behind him a great voice as of a trumpet. Here's the 7th trump. Verse 20, is now alot easier to understand, the seven stars are angels of the churches and the seven golden candlesticks are the churches. Yes Paul says he show's you a mystery in 1Cor.15:51, but it really is not much of a mystery any more. 1Thess.4,5. 2Thess. 1Cor.15 go hand in hand. I hope this has helped you to understand Rev.1:10 better. Take Care. In the Living Water of the Father, Serenetime

Zach, In this old church I used to attend they gave this saying "straddling the fence". I've always loved that saying, because what it was saying is that the person or persons are inbetween on their direction and discision in life whether to serve God and commit to him fully, or continue to be doing things that the world around us does that is contrary to Holy Living and Living by what the Word of God says. It's like the Christian who lives like the world all during the week, and on Sundays goes to Church and portrays him or herself to serving God fully and completely. These people have not totally made a full commitment to living and serving God fully in every moment of their lives. I hope this helps you. In the Love of the Living Water, Serenetime

Hi Peaches, Tim gave an excellent break down of the seals, and what they say. In Rev.5:1, it goes back to the original language the word "seal" is translated, in the greek the word is (sphragis) a signet (a fencing in or protecting from misappropation); the stamp impressed (as a mark of privacy, or genuineness), literally or figuratively:-seal. 80 | In last days will people buy/sell Jesus? | Rev 6:5 | serenetime | 27808
Hotrod, Ever since the Sept.11th tragedy, and because of this people now realize that life is really temporary, and we are not exempt from terrorism even within our own country also by the Anthrax scare and more people dying. Remember the day of prayer where all religions and beliefs were all piled into a stadium hosted by Oprah Winfrey in the New York area after the world trade tragedy? And all prayed together even with their different beliefs. Bible sales and literature sales have most definitely gone way up because people always forget God Until tragedy strikes. And this was so major and shocking that people are numb and in shock and I think will be for a long time. Just like in the time of World Warll many thought that Hitler was the antichrist and the religious leaders and preachers preyed upon the people's fears and taught heavily on the Hell and Brimstone doctrine to scare them for their own ill gotten gain, and I believe it's happening now as well. What the people need now is showing the LOVE of Jesus more than scare tactics. God is not Fear, but of Love, and mercy and tenderness. We are to Love one another, Love and Kiss our children every chance we get and Love our neighbor, and Love our Country. Let this Love flow from us through Iesous (Jesus)always. I feel that many people have lost their love for their fellowman and hearts have been hardened and callous for so long. Time to soften up, don't you agree. In the Love of the Living Water of the Father. Serenetime
