1 | Is it okay for women to wear pants? | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 20919
Hi boyyank, I don't understand why churches have man made traditions like this. I was in an apostalic church years ago where you were asked to not wear pants to church, That was fine and understandable, but as time went on it became where you shouldn't wear pants ever. They even went so far as to say a friend of mine had backslidden and she was not longer saved, because a church member saw her in her yard wearing pant's. Do you see where it goes. They get so focused on man made traditons that they loose sight of why were together and the reason why were saved. This is just my personal opinion, but do you really think that God and Jesus really care if women wear pant's on our own time. It doesn't make us any less feminine and becoming as godly women. Didn't back in Jesus's day the men wore long robes like dresses, and in battle men could grab from behind them and bring the back of their skirt between their legs to cover themselves? Wasn't this called girding your loins? I believe so. Yes women should be an example to other women what's becoming of a godly woman. Now since I got that out of the way, their are scriptures regarding how women are to be in all of their lives is in 1Tim.2:8-10. Verse 8,I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.Verse 9, In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array. Verse 10, But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. I don't see there where women can't wear pants. It's always a good idea to read the whole chapter so you can get a better understanding of what the chapter as a whole is talking about. As you will notice in the next verse it says that women are to keep silence in the church, and so on. I know it says that, but I know that My Father will use whomever he chooses to get the truth told. I doesn't matter if it's male or female, rock or animal. See with humans, take of the flesh and what do you have??? In the Old Testament there is scriptures in Numbers 22:28-31, Verse 28, And the Lord opened the mouth of the ass, and said unto Balaam, what have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times? Verse 29, And Balaam said unto the ass, "Because thou has mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee." Verse 30, And the ass said unto Balaam, "Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee?" And he said,"Nay." Verse 31,Then the Lord opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the Angel of the Lord standing in the way, and His sword drawn in His hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face. And so on. So you see what I'm trying to tell you. We need to focus on his word and search them out. You see, the bible can be taught on three different levels. I strongly suggest all believers get a Strong's Exhaustive Concordance when studying the scriptures. In translate the Old Testament back to it's original language, Hebrew and Chaldee. and the New testament back to the Greek. You'll be amazed how the word will open up to you. I hope this was helpful. 2 | What can you get your prayer life back? | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 20881
Yogi, in Roman 10:17, it says, So then faith cometh by hearing , and hearing by the word of God. Do you have faith. If faith cometh by hearing, then are you hearing the word by a good teacher in your area. Yes you should read scripture to build up yourself, but without hearing, and I mean truly hearing the word of God by one who can rightly divide the word of truth, then this May be your problem. A good teacher is one who will not take a scripture here and there and give his own interpretation of it, but will read chapter by chapter, verse by verse. I hope this helps and yes your prayers to the Father in Jesus name in sincere need for wisdom and knowledge is a MUST. In Love, Serenetime
3 | unmarried couple kissing | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 23900
A kiss on the cheek is fine in public. It's improper to go beyond this. I don't know if you are a female or male, but discretion is called for with good manners in public. I don't perticularly like seeing any couple kissing in public beyond the scope of a kiss on the cheek. I find it offensive. As for necking even in private, you need to be very careful as not to allow it to go beyond and lead to a temptation of lustful desire, something that may be regretted. We are to be examples of chasteness to others, and in representing The Father God. In the Love Of the Father, Serenetime
4 | What it the Bible's calling fornication? | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 23908
Bill, Fornication in the Old Testament is 2181 in the hebrew of the Strong's Concordance means committing adultery continually in the feminine sense, commit idolatry. Also 8457 in the Old Testament in the hebrew means whoredom, harlotry. In the New Testament its 1608 in the Greek in the Strong's Concordance, meaning utterly unchaste, giving over to fornication, unclean, loss of innocence, immoral, an awful thing. As for kissing being fornication, well kissing to the point of necking which can lead to lust and to foreplay which leads to sexual intercourse is fornication when out of marriage. When two people come together this way, you two become one. In Genesis 2:24 it says Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh. You notice it says wife, because when you come together sexually you are his wife in the sight of God. Also in 1 Cor. 7:8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows. It is good for them if they abide (remain) even as I. Verse 9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn. And we are also to be an example to our children. In Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; And when he is old, he will not depart from it. In old times past throughout the world many cultures when two go in the tent or dwelling they're single, when they come out they're married. Their were no marriage licenses of paper in the days of old. But what's important is that you remain chaste in the sight of God. In the Father's Love, Serenetime
5 | Lowest Common Denominator | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 25228
Charis, The lowest point that I can possibly concieve on this sphere of enlightenment of love is to become as earth in Genesis 1:2. Tohu va Bohu. Darkness, to be decieved of the appointed time of when the bridegroom comes for his bride. The apparell of the bride has become black and void. For now is the time of the wedding to Iesous. The bride had already gone and eloped with the adulterous. The Devil, Satan, The Dragon, Apollyon, Adversary, Nachash, Son of Perdition, Abomination of desolations, Lucifer, The Bright and Morning Star, Death. Who is now the Brides Kinsman Redeemer. For now they are One. For all that belongs to It, It's now also the Brides Inheritence of EVIL Jealous Pride. For the Ways of Satan are the means to Death. To be blotted out. Nothingness, Negative, Non Existent, Never Known to exist, Null and Void. Cannot even be measured, but even worse still in existense feeling uttermost shame of anyone like those in Rev 6:15. To hide from the bridegroom they would wish for the rocks to fall on them to hide their shame. You would be better off to be non existent than to go on without experiencing True Love of the Father. But the lowest point would be to see those whom you had judged and persecuted and The Bridegroom turning his back and saying to you "I Never Knew You" Adulterous. This is why I study so diligently in search of the truth, so I can know that I am sharing to one of the Father's Precious children in Love and Truth. For I will be held accountable to My Father and my Messiah. In 2 Peter 3:9, It says The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slacknes; but is longsuffering to us-ward not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Verse 10, But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. May we all be there for each other in Love. In True Love, Serenetime
6 | How did Nephilims come into existance? | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 26586
wjohn, Hi You will get your answer in Genesis 6 starting at verse 1. Verse 2 says the sons of God. Sons of God here is Angels. Angels are called spirits in Ps.104:4, Heb.1:7,14 for spirits are created by God. Verse 4, specifies Giants after the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. But verse 2 tells you their lust for the daughters of men, and they took wives of all which they chose. They are Nephilim meaning fallen ones from naphal (to fall). I hope this helps. 7 | Why claim your tithes on your taxes? | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 37023
Hi Lifechanger, Interesting question! I agree with heisthe 1. But I also wanted to mention that we should be tithing to a church or ministry where we are being taught the true word of God. Especially where you are being taught chapter by chapter, and line by line in order to understand the full meaning. Not just someone who gives us a verse 1 or 2 and then gives their interpretation, because one verse here and there can be easily be taken out of context, and not recieved correctly. That's why it's so very important for us as christians to be reading and studying the word for ourselves. Then we will know if we are tithing to the right ministry, because let's face it God wants us to know his word. Chew it up and absorb it into our hearts. The word says there will be many false prophets and teachers and will decieve many? Matt 7:15-27, 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: Matt.4:11 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. KJV 2 Cor 11:13 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.KJV 2 Tim 4:3-7 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. 6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. KJV 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: KJV 2 Peter 2:1-2 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. KJV And I for one do not want to tithe into a ministry that's teaching wrong. Tithing first in faith to support the true word of God ministry to keep the true word coming to many. That's what God wants and therefore it goes to God. I don't really agree with the claiming it on our taxes, because are we not to trust God to provide for us in every area of our lives? John 4:14 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. New Creature, I appreciate your efforts on seeking out as much information on this subject and in the scriptures. But I truly believe by what you said is that whatever we choose is ok with the Father (God) because our flesh bodies go back to the earth anyway and it's our souls is what is being preserved is what's important, wouldn't you agree? 10 | is masterbation a sin explain thxs | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 47635
Turkish, I have read everyone's response on this thread and I believe in my heart that even though scripture does not convey on this issue specifically there is an answer. First our flesh body is what we are stuck with. What does sin mean, doesn't the word Christian is to be Christ like? Our goal is always be Christ like. Here are some meanings for the word (sin) in the Greek in the NT. NT:264 hamartano (ham-ar-tan'-o); perhaps from NT:1 (as a negative particle) and the base of NT:3313; properly, to miss the mark (and so not share in the prize), i.e. (figuratively) to err, especially (morally) to sin: KJV - for your faults, offend, sin, trespass. NT:265 hamartema (ham-ar'-tay-mah); from NT:264; a sin (properly concrete): KJV - sin. NT:266 hamartia (ham-ar-tee'-ah); from NT:264; a sin (properly abstract): KJV - offence, sin (-ful). This is vague in the fact that it does not specify regarding masturbation. But bear in mind that I think everyone will agree that God has given us common sense in this life. In that flesh and blood will not inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Cor 15:50 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. KJV Corruption will not inherit incorruption. Meaning our flesh and blood is corrupt. And if we are all changed in a twinkling of a eye at the last trump, and corruptible becomes incorruptible. 1 Cor 15:52-53 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. KJV What was Paul talking about in 1 Cor.? Yes we have this sexual desire, and (common sense) will tell you that, isn't it better to masturbate than to go out somewhere and find someone or if you are married to find someone else to relieve yourselves. 1 Cor 7:9 9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn. KJV NT:4448 ( burn) puroo (poo-ro'-o); from NT:4442; to kindle, i.e. (passively) to be ignited, glow (literally), be refined (by implication), or (figuratively) to be inflamed (with anger, grief, lust): KJV - burn, fiery, be on fire, try. NT:4442 pur (poor); a primary word; "fire" (literally or figuratively, specifically, lightning): KJV - fiery, fire. I believe wholeheartedly that masturbation is not sin and that you men on this forum know that if this does not take place from time to time, then there is a problem, and you know what I mean. Let's get real here! SERENETIME |

11 | what is a charismatic church | Bible general Archive 1 | serenetime | 52417
EVANGELISM DREW, The word charismatic is not in the bible, and there is no definition, but I used to belong to a charismatic church, and or pentecostal church. First they do definitely believe in the trinity and the their meaning of charismatic is speaking in tongues with the evidence of signs and wonders, meaning what EdB stated before. Like the working of the spiritual gifts in 1 Cor.12. It is an interesting read. SERENETIME |

GeeVee, The Strongs Concordance is an translation of the transliteration of the languages of the Old and New Testament. In the Old testament- Hebrew and Chaldee and the New Testament- Greek. 13 | Is it wrong to be cremated? | NT general Archive 1 | serenetime | 22198
Hi Lizah, I don't think that cremation apposes God. In Gen. 3:19 it says, In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto the dust shalt thou return. Also in Gen. 40:19 it says,Yet within three days shall Pharoah lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee. Here it's saying that the flesh is destroyed in another way. Also in 1Cor. 13:3 it says, And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. In 1 Cor. 15:50 it says, Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. So you see the flesh is not worthy of inheriting the kingdom of God. I hope this helps. In Love, Serenetime
14 | Serenetime: Did you know . . . | NT general Archive 1 | serenetime | 30161
Kalos, I appreciate your efforts, but I percieve that you are using Apologetics, which is man created. There is a time to take the word at face value, and a time to take it back it to the original language when it was originally written. Yes, I agree that we should always read the whole chapter in order to get the full meaning. But also in this case I have done that and the meaning of Matt 12:31,32 is so. See, you can't use the so called Apologetics when it's convenient and change when it's not. You and other's have still to use scripture to back up this belief. Until that time, as far as I am concern that Judas was forgiven and I will see him in glory. Thanks, SERENETIME |

After all this contraversy, How about the fact there is this Gen 3:15 15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. KJV So at least we know there is the serpent's seed and Adam and Eve's seed. I would digress on the issue of who married Cain, but I feel on this forum I am fighting a losing battle with some. So if there are two seeds, then what's up? Serenetime |

17 | Bible and evolution both? | Gen 1:1 | serenetime | 40200
Hey Hank, I totally agree! It does totally contradict. Nowhere in scripture does it say we descended from apes. Gen 1:26-27 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. KJV So if we were made in God's image, then God was an ape and we are now humans? And man was an ape and evolved into a human. SERENETIME |

Hey sweetpea0413, Gen 1:26-27 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. KJV Gen 2:7 7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. KJV You will notice that in Gen. 2 he says he formed man (man alone), but in Gen. 1 he says made them male and female, and in Gen. 2 he says he formed man and then later took a rib from Adam a formed Woman. There is a separation in Gen.2 and in a different point in time, and he made male and female at one time in Gen. 1. Do you have eyes to See? Great question!!!!!!!!!! I hope I've been a help! 19 | CHAPTER 6 LORD SAID AND 9 GOD SAID | Gen 2:3 | serenetime | 27691
SUPERLOTTO, Using the Strongs Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible Gen.6:5, God here in the original Hebrew is #3068 renderering Yehovah, the self Existent or Eternal, Jehovah. In verse 6, it's the same meaning. But in verse 9, #430,it means Elohiym, gods in the ordinary sense, specifically used in the plural thus, especially with the article of the Supreme God. Also used for magistrates. Verse 11,12,13,21 it's the same as verse 9. In Gen. 7:1 Lord, is back to #3068, the meaning of Yehovah, the self Existent or Eternal, Jehovah. I hope this helps. Hi Quester, In Gen. 3:15, And I will put emnity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her Seed; It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. The word emnity is 342 in the hebrew meaning hatred, hostility. The word seed is in the hebrew 2233 is sowing time, posterity, from 2232 sow, to disseminate, concieve seed. It, in the hebrew 1931, this or that, as or are. Shall bruise in the hebrew is 7779 to gape, snap at, to overwelm, break, cover. Thy head in the hebrew is 7218, meaning to shake the head, of place, time, rank. And thou, is 859 in the hebrew, thou or thee, ye or you. His heel in the hebrew 6119 a heel as protuberant, hence a track, the rear of an army, horse hoof, last, lier in wait. From 6117 To seize by the heel, also to restrain, supplant. I will put hatred, hostility between thee and the woman, between thy seed, posterity and her seed posterity, and concieving seed. It, this or that. Shall bruise, to gape, overwelm, cover, Thy head, meaning to shake the head, as time, place, rank. And thou, thee or thou, ye or you. Shall bruise, to gape, to snap at, overwelm, cover. His heel, hence a track, the rear of an army. I hope this does not confuse you. I found the translation back to the original hebrew in the Strong's Concordance. This is the King James Version. I hope this helps. Serenetime
