61 | witness to neighbors about Jesus Christ? | NT general Archive 1 | Val | 193664
I would first write out a three minute testimony of how I came to know the Lord and believed and was saved. Practice speaking your testimony to a close prayer buddy. As has been stated show love in tangible ways and develop a relationship with your neighbors. Pray that the Lord would open up an opportunity for you to be used by Him in witnessing to your neighbors. Be in constant prayer for them specifically and when that opportunity arrives you will be ready to share. You might also get your bible out and mark some verses that you plan to use so you can show them if given the opportunity. You might even buy them a bible, mark it and give it to them at the appropriate time. It is vital that you be sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading and that your life be free of sin as the walk is more important than the talk. Daily prayer and bible study will keep you equipped to share the gospel as you will drawn strength and guidance from the Lord each day.

63 | Explain Heb. 10:26 | NT general Archive 1 | Val | 193793
Mark 4:3 "Listen to this! Behold, the sower went out to sow; Mark 4:4 as he was sowing, some seed fell beside the road, and the birds came and ate it up. Mark 4:5 "Other seed fell on the rocky ground where it did not have much soil; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of soil. Mark 4:6 "And after the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. Mark 4:7 "Other seed fell among the thorns, and the thorns came up and choked it, and it yielded no crop. Mark 4:8 "Other seeds fell into the good soil, and as they grew up and increased, they yielded a crop and produced thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold." Mark 4:13 And He *said to them, "Do you not understand this parable? How will you understand all the parables? Mark 4:14 "The sower sows the word. Mark 4:15 "These are the ones who are beside the road where the word is sown; and when they hear, immediately Satan comes and takes away the word which has been sown in them. Mark 4:16 "In a similar way these are the ones on whom seed was sown on the rocky places, who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with joy; Mark 4:17 and they have no firm root in themselves, but are only temporary; then, when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately they fall away. Mark 4:18 "And others are the ones on whom seed was sown among the thorns; these are the ones who have heard the word, Mark 4:19 but the worries of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. Mark 4:20 "And those are the ones on whom seed was sown on the good soil; and they hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold." As our Lord taught above we are to sow the seed and leave the results to Him. I hope this helps. Respectfully submitted, |

64 | JESUS WINS AN SO DO WE | NT general | Val | 196466
His proclamation was of His victory over death. It was not an invitation to follow Him. As we learn from other scriptures, once we die, it is too late. In the old testament the people believed there were two places for departed spirts one was a place/a chamber for those who follow God and one for those who did not. It is believed by some that the Lord took those who believed in Him to heaven with Him because this chamber was no longer needed. And that the other chamber is still there with the lost. We cannot be dogmatic about this as the scripture tells us very little about this. It is only spoken of in one verse in Ephesians.

70 | The Lord was pleased with Abel | Genesis | Val | 190882
Hebrews 11:4 "By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained the testimony that he was righteous,...." NASB Cain's sacrifice was not of faith. Hebrews 9:22 "And according to the Law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness." NASB Although the law had not been given until Moses the principle obviously was there. Matthew 23:35 calls Abel righteous 1 John 3:11-12 "For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another; not as Cain who was of the evil one, and slew his brother. And for what reason did he slay him? Because his deeds were evil, and his brother's were righteous." NASB The principle is we must come to God - God's way. |

72 | Can you be pro-life but not do anything? | Genesis | Val | 220760
In this area it was the Catholic leaders who gave their votes to a pro abortion president. They were hurt financially by the scandal of priests who were committing criminal charges against children. They hoped to bring in the immigrants to raise their financial support. Although both people running for president were pro choice, one leaned far left while the other was more center. It is the laws that lead to more abortions. To say Protestants do not do anything is simply inaccurate

75 | the hand of the Lord is upon me? | Gen 1:1 | Val | 204036
An excellent study would be the life of King David. He is described as a man after God's own heart. You can read about him in first and second Samuel, first Kings and Chronicles. You will see how the hand of the Lord was upon him. In other words you can see the Spirit of God working in his life. If you believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ and have placed your faith and trust in Him then the hand of the lord is upon you. Blessings, Val
