462 | why would satan present himself to the L | Rev 12:10 | Val | 205521
Because Satan is accountable to God. Satan is not equal to God. He is under God. He is a created being.

464 | SALVATION | Rev 14:6 | Val | 223312
There is a good website called Preceptaustin.org Kay Arthur gives the futurist view of Revelation on this site. Go to Revelation on this site and look for her lectures. This topic is discussed in Revelation Part 4, Lecture ten. Basically she says that they are Israel's offspring who hold to the testimony of Jesus during the tribulation. I believe that the tribulation begins after the rapture of the church which has not happened yet. So they are neither the modern saved Jews as they will go to heaven at the rapture with the church nor the Old Testament saints who went to heaven after Christ rose from the dead but rather Israel who believe in Jesus at the tribulation who will lose their physical life for their faith. Revelation 14:6. I hope this helps you sir.
465 | no one was able? | Rev 15:8 | Val | 204092
Rev 15:5 After these things I looked, and the temple of the tabernacle of testimony in heaven was opened, Thomas let the verses in their context explain what it means. Looking at verse 5 we see this is the temple in heaven. It means what it says. There is not a hidden meaning. Looking at verse 8 tells us the when "until". A good starting point to find the context (context means that which goes with the verse) is to look at the verses surrounding the verse in question. So the verses that go with verse 8 would be 7 and 9. You can carry this principal further to include the whole chapter, then the whole book, then the entire bible. The next step in bible study is to look at the definations of any words we do not understand, Hebrew/Aramaic in the OT and Greek in the new. The next step is to look at cross references. Cross references where the same word is used in other passages. It is here, in the cross references, that the meaning becomes more clear. Hope this helps. Blessings - Val |

466 | Who is the Sixth King of REV 17:10 | Rev 17:10 | Val | 190880
Reading in the Book of Daniel we see that the things God said about Nebuchadnezzr came true. The things He said about Medo-Persia came true. The things He said about Greece came truth and the last power Rome is described as the legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay Daniel 2:33. Then in Daniel 2:40-45 it gives the interpretation of the fourth kingdom (Rome - Matthew 2) Reading on in Daniel 7:17-28 we see from verse 24 these are 10 kings yet future who come out of the fourth kingdom. |

467 | Why are they future. | Rev 17:10 | Val | 204215
Dear RC, Your question was a bit unclear so I looked at your previous posts 190643 to gain further understanding of your question. I see that you hold a view that the 10 kings have already been fulfilled. Is this your own view or someone who has taught you this? I draw my opinion from many hours of inductive bible study on the book Daniel. Inductive study is studying the bible for yourself. I do not wish to get in a debate about whether this has come to past or not. Hope this answers your question. Blessings, Val |

469 | Rapture | Rev 20:1 | Val | 213921
On Preceptaustin.org you will see the different approaches to interpreting Revelation. Enter Revelation 20 to see more information on this topic. There is also a list of commentators and their interpretive bends so that when someone uses that commentator you know what they lend towards. It is better to study the bible for yourself inductively than to go to what others say first about the bible because: One, you form your own opinion first, Second, you learn more, Third, you remember more, Fourth, you develop your study skils, Fifth, it is more rewarding. There is a good in depth study of Revelation at Precept.org. Sincerely, Val |

470 | Rapture | Rev 20:1 | Val | 214132
Dear C.S.; Welcome to the forum. 1 and 2 Thessalonians are the first writings on the rapture. There are many books written about this topic but I find the best book is the bible itself. There is an inductive study method which uses the bible as the main learning tool. In depth studies of the books of the bible can be found at Precept.org. I have studied Thessalonians and it was a wonderful study and highly recommend it. It takes time and dedication to study this way but it is well worth the cost. Sincerely, Val
471 | Do people in heaven remember us on earth | Rev 21:4 | Val | 207353
That is a good question. In saying that we do not know. We think of heaven as being the place of no more sadness so if our relatives saw the sin on earth that would bring grief and sadness. I believe because of this the answer is no. Rev 21:4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away." |

472 | do they remember us as their love ones | Rev 21:4 | Val | 207398
We will recognize our loved ones who died in Christ, and also fellowship with the great Bible saints: "And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, 'Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah" Matthew 17:3-4 NKJV
473 | Pure joy in Heaven? | Rev 21:4 | Val | 207449
Rev 7:9 - where in the verse do you come to that conclusion? Rev 21:4 - In answer to your question of how we can have pure joy... this would be the verse that would answer that question. How it is done we are not told. Only that it will be done. |

474 | where do animals go when they expire? | Rev 22:15 | Val | 191568
1 Cor 2:9 But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed].
