41 | Luke 19:27 mean? | Psalm | tuli | 37228
I believe it was after the others had been judged that the slaying occured. PSALM 149:6-9 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand: To execute vengeance against the nations, [and] punishment among the peoples; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written. This honour have all his saints. Hallelujah! |

42 | meaning of speak truth in his heart | Ps 15:2 | tuli | 27672
Hi, I think the passage is regarding who will abide in the presence of the Lord, or if I may, in His House. God desires a clean and truthful heart from us, if He is to dwell in/with us. I think it is a wonderful consideration. Luke 6:45 I think would be a good reference. I have a feeling it is really inadequate but...Praise God. |

43 | What does be radian mean in Psalms 34:5? | Ps 34:5 | tuli | 38888
What do you think it means? I believe you need to see the verse in context of the Psalm to appreciate it. They looked to Him... Look at v22 as well and notice when the Psalm was written. |

46 | Help with Hosea???? | Hos 13:14 | tuli | 30654
Slide, I do sympathize with your situation! Your friend is definitely in a terrible situation herself. True to what she says in that passage the wrath of God is seen, yet it gets worse if she has really read the Bible! That should be a sign to her of how serious God is when He promises fierce wrath. I read Jonathan Edward's Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God and he makes one point very clear, God owes no man nothing. If he chose as in Job it says[34:14-15], if He chose to take back his Spirit and breath we would all perish! Your friend's viewpoint is rather skewed since she clearly disregards to love that God has shown through His Son- a death not deserved for an unthankful, blasphemous race, yet He still has given even yoru friend time to repent otherwise she would be as dead as can be. Before she can make such assertions, let her read what God did for Israel and what He promised them and what His purpose was for them. Please pray for her too that the love of God would be manifest to her and lead her to repentance and salvation. The Lord Bless you Slide. |

47 | Does God bring calamity to redeticate ya | Jonah | tuli | 35715
God chastens his children. Hebrews 12 tells a whole lot about that. Job 5:17 Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: |

55 | One more time, "fallen away"? | Mark 4:16 | tuli | 38927
Cyclist, I have been thinking about HEBREWS 6 and 10. It is very interesting that everyone I talk to seems to go right into losing salvation. I do not know if that is what the passages concern. Howere, what I find interesting and would love to discuss is the referrences to the old testament-the shadows of the new in regards to the passages in question. |

56 | explain the first four verses of luke 4 | Luke | tuli | 35739
v 4 That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed. I think what is really neat is that Luke was relaying what he was taught and believed v1-2 to Theophillus that he too may believe. This is a good example of faith coming by hearing the word. The book of Acts is a continuation of Luke Acts 1:1 Hope that helps a little. God Bless. |

59 | Neh.8: 10-12.What joy? what does it mean | John 15:11 | tuli | 30054
Zoe my friend, That sure is an wonderful thought. Israel is rebuilding and they see their failure at the reading of the Law and are discouraged. Then, Nehemiah, who had been very instrumental in the rebuilding and had faced many a discouraging times comforts the people with the comfort wherewith he had been comforted-in the JOY of the Lord- None of his own ability. I believe what our Lord, Jesus Christ says in John 15:11 is in similar faith. I hope that helps a bit. The Lord Bless You. |

60 | What is unity of the body? | John 17:21 | tuli | 35714
John 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. The book of Ephesians is a wonderful consideration of what the body of Christ-the Church is. Eph. 4:3 encourages to diligently keep the unity which was made already at the cross. The analogy given in 1 cor 12 is that of your own body and I believe that is waht the Church is supposed to function as. Just like the early church in Acts. |
