41 | What is the second death? Rev 21:8 | 1 Thessalonians | tuli | 38117
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. What is the second death? And what does it mean to have their part in the lake...? |

42 | can the person who answered answer this? | Bible general Archive 1 | tuli | 37846
Hey, I did not answer the question yesterday. However, it is okay once in a while to asy you do not know the answer to a question. there are a lot of questins we cannot answer because we either do not know that much or the Bible does not address them. About babies, I doubt they can be held accountable for what they do not understand. Our God is a Just God. why shoudl someone that wasn't even be given a chance to make a choice be judged for it? |

43 | Speaking in tongues? Use by women? | 1 Cor 13:1 | tuli | 37844
I ask myself, why were the Corinthians, carnal as they were speaking in tongues? Paul exhorts them to only speak in tongues to prophesy, to EDIFY the church. I get the impression that even the one speaking the tongue has no idea what they are saying! 1Cor14:14 says the tongues are a sign to unbelievers. and since there are still unbelievers, tongues I imagine are still useful. Can women prophesy in the house of God? I believe so. I think the tongues are languages. Who do you think the unlearned are in v23? JAH BLESS. |

44 | Speaking in tongues? Use by women? | 1 Cor 13:1 | tuli | 37733
What is the purpose of tongues? That might help to figure out their necessity.
45 | How did Hannah decide to give up Samuel? | 1 Sam 1:11 | tuli | 37272
I should say the lending fro a lifetime is same as giving. The Youngs gives a good translation too. I don't know if she could give to God what was already His by vow.
46 | Luke 19:27 mean? | Psalm | tuli | 37228
I believe it was after the others had been judged that the slaying occured. PSALM 149:6-9 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand: To execute vengeance against the nations, [and] punishment among the peoples; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written. This honour have all his saints. Hallelujah! |

47 | New Covenant alone? | Heb 8:6 | tuli | 37226
The old covenant never applied to the Gentiles. The work of Christ made one new man under a new covenant. We are in the commonwealth only and only through God our saviour. God Bless. |

48 | How did Hannah decide to give up Samuel? | 1 Sam 1:11 | tuli | 37225
Scripture says lent. | ||||||
49 | Is Salvation only through Jesus Christ? | Acts 4:12 | tuli | 37011
The word of God judges those people. Jesus Christ was before many of these so called religions. If they have heard about Jesus Christ and rejected Him, THE WORD makes it very clear. If they haven't heard of Him then that is a different case. Our God is a JUST God. Jesus broke all partitions, NO JEW NO GENTILE! Only one way in. |

50 | scriptural basis for church government | 1 Tim 3:1 | tuli | 37010
Government of the church is by our Head the Lord Jesus. However MEN are used by God for this purpose. Elders I believe are responsible for the Church, READ ACTS 20. And the "qualifications" are in 1 TIMOTHY 3. It is clear that there is something wrong, PRAY and ask for wisdom. |

51 | what about inerrancy? | Rom 1:29 | tuli | 37006
We can be sure that our God is sovereign. If He gave us His word we can be sure that He can maintain it. Remember God's plans cannot be thwarted.
52 | mystery | Colossians | tuli | 37005
EPH.3:4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: |

53 | Did Hannah make a deal with God? | 1 Sam 1:11 | tuli | 37003
I think you can say she made a deal with God. Just as Jacob did and many others in the OT. |

54 | How did Hannah decide to give up Samuel? | 1 Sam 1:11 | tuli | 37002
She made a vow to God--She lent Samuel to God! And she had to keep it. All she wanted was to have seed from her, to be productive if you may. Her prayer in Ch. 2 is very prophetic. |

58 | What does men in Eph. 4:8 mean? | Eph 4:8 | tuli | 36875
Thanks for the referrence on Priscilla, I know someone who really needs to hear that! Thanks a lot brother. You do make it more clear with that example. I may not necessarily agree with you on Anna as being disqualified because the Church had not formed. Israel is called the church in the wilderness! Acts 7:38 God's administration has always been through men even in the old testament yet you have the prophetesses. God uses them to speak to His people. They were consulted by the men! Did the women lose this priviledge in the NT? I doubt it! |

59 | What does men in Eph. 4:8 mean? | Eph 4:8 | tuli | 36872
John, I do not go by what people think, but by what the scriptures say. You see brother, according to my study of the scriptures, elders and bishops are the leaders in God's house, answerable for the flock. Look at Acts 20. To whom does Paul commit the flock? Remember, we are studying together to get the to the perfect faith. God Bless. |

60 | What does men in Eph. 4:8 mean? | Eph 4:8 | tuli | 36740
Thanks Hank, There sure are roles yet that does not help me understand what role women have in the body of Christ in which every joing supplies and none is sufficient without the other. And that especially the gift of teaching and pastoring is given to all men and women inclusive yet we do not have women pastors and teachers. |
