She did not mention anything on adultery! I see there is a lot of sympathy here, which is a good thing, yet there seems to be more facts about the case arising at each posting. Maybe the lady should give all the facts before we get all wired up and take sides in a forum. By the way I find your theology very interesting. You seem to read a lot of what other people have to say and ally yourself and claim to be a follower of certain theologies !! Very interesting!! |

Forgive me if I came across that way. The Lord have mercy on me. Karlos, please get all sides of the story before you make such assertive statements about this man. We do not have his side of the story, that's why I believe it is safe not to play empathy but maintain with scriptural discussion. |

Brother Joe, I think the first question I should ask is, what is a prophet? What does it mean, to prophesy? The Spirit of God rests upon his people for a purpose. Luke 11:13 we can even ask for the Holy Spirit. Now, Paul says, covet the greater gifts! I am no theologian, I believe what I read and trust the Holy Spirit to help me understand [Jn 14:26] and praise God if He chooses to use a man to help me understand. But, I believe first. Mat 7:7 and many many other verses tell me that if I ask I will receive. However James tells me why I do not receive, actually James is great for this subject. If I am at Gal. 2:20 and therefore 1 Cor 2:16, then I should have no worries here! I trust that all in this service are Christians after Christ, however, thanks for pointing out that some may not have godly motives yet, I believe the best for the one that asked the question, I believe she or he has no ill intentions. Joe, love covers a multitude of sins, in LOVE correct others. God is LOVE 1 Jn 4:8. I Cor 13:13. God's people everywhere have their faults, the apostles did, maybe you don't, and that is great. Now, be as Christ and love the unlovable. We are body of christ, even those you call radicals. God knew exactly what He was getting into when He called us, He will lead us to Glory!! Amen? I love you Brother, because I love Christ. The Good Lord Bless you. |

90 | your statement | 1 Cor 12:30 | tuli | 29051
Brother Joe, Peace unto you. I probably should have specified what part of that note I responded to. It was principally the last part oif it and I pretty much gave my thoughts on it. By the way, I prefer to stay away from the issue on tongues because it promotes divisiveness! I prefer to edify and build up. On other thing, what do you think of 2 Kings 2:9 The Lord Bless You. |

91 | why desire faith, healing, miracles, etc | 1 Cor 12:30 | tuli | 29052
Friend, Ernestly desire the greater gifts...Paul says. I doubt that having the greater gifts makes one insufficient in the-for the lack of better lexicon-lesser gifts. This has nothing to do with tongues, that won't get me anywhere! Please drop the tongues thing. My point is that you can desire these things right in God's will. Look at 2 Kings 2:9, let me know what you think. The Lord Bless You. |

92 | Who is the Spirit and what is He like? | 1 Cor 12:30 | tuli | 29407
Brother Joe, When our Lord was baptized, the Spirit came upon Him. In John He breathes His Spirit on the disciples and in Acts the Spirit comes upon them. Acts 2:17 is rather interesting to look at. We all have the same access to the provsion of the Spirit, we all decide how much can access. Elisha asked for the hard thing. He got it, and vs 14 he asks for the God of Elijah and vs 15 the sons of the prophets see that Elisha had the spirit of Elijah. There could not have been any less than the Spirit of God in these men. However when you read these men's lives they were committed to what God had called them to, just as Our Lord Jesus and the Apostles. The Lord Bless you. |

93 | Speaking in tongues? Use by women? | 1 Cor 13:1 | tuli | 37733
What is the purpose of tongues? That might help to figure out their necessity.
94 | Speaking in tongues? Use by women? | 1 Cor 13:1 | tuli | 37844
I ask myself, why were the Corinthians, carnal as they were speaking in tongues? Paul exhorts them to only speak in tongues to prophesy, to EDIFY the church. I get the impression that even the one speaking the tongue has no idea what they are saying! 1Cor14:14 says the tongues are a sign to unbelievers. and since there are still unbelievers, tongues I imagine are still useful. Can women prophesy in the house of God? I believe so. I think the tongues are languages. Who do you think the unlearned are in v23? JAH BLESS. |

95 | What does men in Eph. 4:8 mean? | Eph 4:8 | tuli | 35884
EPHESIANS 4:8 What does MEN in this verse mean? Because, then we can know whether women can be Pastors v.11. Then we can ask what a Pastor is and then look at what Paul was talking about to Timothy. EPH. 4:12-13 God bless. |
||||||
96 | What does men in Eph. 4:8 mean? | Eph 4:8 | tuli | 36141
I think one of the gift is Pastors. Therefore women can be pastors and teachers, right? |
||||||
97 | What does men in Eph. 4:8 mean? | Eph 4:8 | tuli | 36142
What do you understand by Pastor? Because I do not believe what is generally understood by Pastor is biblical. |
||||||
98 | What does men in Eph. 4:8 mean? | Eph 4:8 | tuli | 36143
I believe the gifts were not gender specific. The word in the Greek leads me to that conclusion. But of course I would love to discuss this with you and come to one understanding. Praise the Lord. Tuli is not an acronym. |
||||||
99 | Jesus tears down the gates of hell? | Eph 4:8 | tuli | 36147
Charis, What do you thin the word prevail means here? Shall not prevail against or triumph over it! Through the Church Christ is "reclaiming" creation. The gates cannot prevail because He through the Church is extending His dominion. I think you can comfortably say there is some tearing down. God Bless. |
