Hi Salv, My belief is for pre. But whenever it is to take place the forum will help you get grounded and deeply rooted in the Word so that you can be sure that whenever the Father tells Jesus to go get His people (1 Cor. 15:52; 1 Th. 4:16-17), you can be assured that you will be among them. 282 | Meaning of 4 beasts in Revelation chapte | Revelation | skccab | 186943
Hi Little Maggie I have checked several commentaries and they all pretty much agree (more or less), so I chose the use an excerpt for John Wesley's Explanatory Notes because, as long as his is it's the shortest one I have. Wesley's Explanatory Notes on Rev. 4:6-7: And in the midst of the throne - With respect to its height. Round about the throne - That is, toward the four quarters, east, west, north, and south. Were four living creatures - Not beasts, no more than birds. These seem to be taken from the cherubim in the visions of Isaiah and Ezekiel, and in the holy of holies. They are doubtless some of the principal powers of heaven; but of what order, it is not easy to determine. It is very probable that the twenty - four elders may represent the Jewish church: their harps seem to intimate their having belonged to the ancient tabernacle service, where they were wont to be used. If so, the living creatures may represent the Christian church. Their number, also, is symbolical of universality, and agrees with the dispensation of the gospel, which extended to all nations under heaven. And the "new song" which they all sing, saying, "Thou hast redeemed us out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation," Rev_5:9, could not possibly suit the Jewish without the Christian church. The first living creature was like a lion - To signify undaunted courage. The second, like a calf - Or ox, Eze_1:10, to signify unwearied patience. The third, with the face of a man - To signify prudence and compassion. The fourth, like an eagle - To signify activity and vigour. Full of eyes - To betoken wisdom and knowledge. Before - To see the face of him that sitteth on the throne. And behind - To see what is done among the creatures. Hope this helps blessings cheri |

Hi M Royal, Thank you for speaking my mind!! I'd always thought that blasphemy against the Holy Ghost was denying the Power and Attributes of the Spirit. So I guess you pretty much confirmed that for me in your answer. blessings cheri |

284 | Can a believer date someone who's not? | NT general Archive 1 | skccab | 186837
Hello valigirl33 The Bible does not call doing such a sin, but Paul does stongly advise against it in 1 Cor. 2Co 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? hope this helped blessings cheri |

286 | Request for lyrics | Philippians | skccab | 186813
Hi Azure the best i can do is tell you that Mahalia Jackson is one of the artists that sings it (I think, I'm pretty sure) Just to be in line with requirements as well, I'd like to share my favorite scripture: Php 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, Php 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. cheri |

287 | What should occur after accepting Christ | Philippians | skccab | 186708
Greetings snookie To me the whole of Philippians is a wonderful model of a Christian life. Php 1:9 And my prayer is that you may be increased more and more in knowledge and experience; Php 1:10 So that you may give your approval to the best things; that you may be true and without wrongdoing till the day of Christ; Php 1:11 Being full of the fruits of righteousness, which are through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. Php 1:27 Only let your behaviour do credit to the good news of Christ, so that if I come and see you or if I am away from you, I may have news of you that you are strong in one spirit, working together with one soul for the faith of the good news; Php 1:28 Having no fear of those who are against you; which is a clear sign of their destruction, but of your salvation, and that from God; Php 1:29 Because to you it has been given in the cause of Christ not only to have faith in him, but to undergo pain on his account: Php 1:30 Fighting the same fight which you saw in me, and now have word of in me. Php 2:1 If then there is any comfort in Christ, any help given by love, any uniting of hearts in the Spirit, any loving mercies and pity, Php 2:2 Make my joy complete by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in harmony and of one mind; Php 2:3 Doing nothing through envy or through pride, but with low thoughts of self let everyone take others to be better than himself; Php 2:4 Not looking everyone to his private good, but keeping in mind the things of others. Php 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus, Php 2:6 To whom, though himself in the form of God, it did not seem that to take for oneself was to be like God; Php 2:7 But he made himself as nothing, taking the form of a servant, being made like men; Php 2:8 And being seen in form as a man, he took the lowest place, and let himself be put to death, even the death of the cross. Php 2:9 For this reason God has put him in the highest place and has given to him the name which is greater than every name; Php 2:10 So that at the name of Jesus every knee may be bent, of those in heaven and those on earth and those in the underworld, Php 2:11 And that every tongue may give witness that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Php 2:12 So then, my loved ones, as you have at all times done what I say, not only when I am present, but now much more when I am not with you, give yourselves to working out your salvation with fear in your hearts; Php 2:13 For it is God who is the cause of your desires and of your acts, for his good pleasure. Php 2:14 Do all things without protests and arguments; Php 2:15 So that you may be holy and gentle, children of God without sin in a twisted and foolish generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world, Php 2:16 Offering the word of life; so that I may have glory in you in the day of Christ, because my running was not for nothing and my work was not without effect. Php 4:4 Be glad in the Lord at all times: again I say, Be glad. Php 4:5 Let your gentle behaviour be clear to all men. The Lord is near. Php 4:6 Have no cares; but in everything with prayer and praise put your requests before God. Php 4:7 And the peace of God, which is deeper than all knowledge, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Php 4:8 For the rest, my brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things have honour, whatever things are upright, whatever things are holy, whatever things are beautiful, whatever things are of value, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, give thought to these things. Php 4:9 The things which came to you by my teaching and preaching, and which you saw in me, these things do, and the God of peace will be with you. Of course there are scriptures throughout the epistles of Paul. but I happen to be reading Philippians right now so these were really fresh on my mind. Hope they answered your questions. love cheri |

288 | If possible, how can any be sure? | Matt 7:21 | skccab | 186676
Maybe an analyist could help you? It appears you are not seeking truth for it has been served you time and again here and yet you persist in your unbelief. my advice: get a grip and move on. if you are truly concerned about "others" then tell them what you've been told and move on. God will send waterers to tend the seeds you plant if you are worried about yourself then come clean, plead the blood and receive your forgiveness as a child receives the good things from its parents. There is nothing more than that that you can do in love cheri |

289 | were does it | Revelation | skccab | 186652
Greetings dltishines The Bible, nowhere, uses the term rapture. It's a catching away of the believers. Many people believe (myself included) that the church is caught away to be forever with the Lord sometime between the end of chapter 3 and the beginning of chapter 4, for the church is no more seen as being on earth. In Rev.4:10. Many scholars believe the elders represent the church. Then in Rev. 19:7-9 they believe it's the church that is attending the marriage supper of the Lamb, and the church that returns with Christ to usher in the millennium. hope this helped a bit love cheri |

295 | Is lifestyle change proof of salvation? | Matt 7:21 | skccab | 186519
Answer: Hi lookn It sounds to me from all your questioning that we're not talking about "those others" but it seems someone is whispering condemnation in your ear and you're buying it. It is all 100percent faith in the work of Jesus. I'm sure there are times when any one of us doesn't "feel" saved. Those that are married don't always "feel" married but they are indeed. And we are indeed saved if we put Jesus first in all things. And we don't always hit the bull's eye, very often we fall flat on our faces and then it's very hard to "feel" saved and forgiven. We have to trust God's word then, pick ourselves up, brush off the dirt, pray about it, receive forgiveness and MOVE ON. We are STILL saved My motto: the bible says it, i believe it, and that settles it. Cheri |

297 | Christian now? Christian later? | Matt 7:21 | skccab | 186513
Hi there, for #1 See James 1:14-27 for #2 See James 1:2-8. See also Eph 2:8-9; Tit. 3:3-7; Heb. 7:25 especially 1 Pet. 1:5 and Jude 1:3 Hope this helps. But keep in mind Christianity is not a "couch religion." We are expected to be "ambassadors of Christ" so a change will take place in you behavior. If there is no change then go back to the Cross with 1 John 1:9. Cheri |

299 | Days between the cross and empty tomb | Luke 23:43 | skccab | 186504
Hi Rholliday on another thread we've been discussing this somewhat. Luke 23:43 says Jesus told the thief that he would be with Him that day in Paradise. My take on that is Jesus had to go to Paradise Himself for the thief to be with Him there. And I believe he told those righteous saints that He was the Messiah they had hoped for. Matt. 27:52-53 says the graves of the righteous were opened and they appeard to many. My take on that one is those are the ones to whom Jesus preached and accepted what He said. I believe they went at that time to dwell in heaven after Jesus presented Himself to the Father. Any thoughts from others? Blessings Cheri |
