221 | writing in the sand? | Bible general Archive 4 | skccab | 194601
Hi Michael, I, too, have heard that that is what He wrote. The Bible doesn't say. We'll just have to take it on faith, that whatever Yeshua wrote pricked their hearts and consciences so that none could say, "I am without sin." Or perhaps He stooped down and wrote on the ground to give those accusers a chance to leave without embarrassment, thus passing on grace even to them? Shalom Cheri |

222 | head sins body/members sin | Rom 7:21 | skccab | 194505
Shabbat Shalom Jesusgirlsherice, Are you thinking about Romans 7:21-23? 21) I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good. 22) For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, 23) but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members. Read the rest of the verses in that chapter!! Cheri |

224 | Romans 5:6-8 how it shows Gods love | Rom 5:6 | skccab | 194089
Hello Imar, What Makarios and Brad said is absolutely correct. God's love is indeed unconditional - it's His blessings (aside from those that fall on all men) that are conditional. The joy unspeakable, the peace that passes all understanding, the confidence that He is in control, the knowledge that the work He has begun in us He will finish, a family of some of the dearest people you'd ever want to know (many right here on this forum) - these (and others) are conditioned upon our remaining in His word and will. I think that's what canawedding in her convoluted way was trying to point out (though I'm not sure :-) ). Shalom Cheri |

228 | Hell can't be much worse than I feel now | Luke 16:26 | skccab | 193804
Hi Larry, Just remember - while this moment is called TODAY - there is HOPE for TOMORROW. If in heaven - there is no need for HOPE for our hope has been fulfilled. If in hell - there is no HOPE, no TOMORROW - it's eternal, a done deal; and like Brad said, definitely not a place anyone would want to be! Again - while now is called today, hope lives for tomorrow. Shalom Cheri |

231 | Followers of "The Way" - meaning? | Acts 9:2 | skccab | 193441
Morning MJH, I've heard that the sages believe that the way back to the Garden, to the Tree of Life is through a death. Yeshua became that Way, to take us past the "cherubim" amd the two-edged sword guarding the way to the Tree. What was it that you heard? Shalom Cheri |

232 | what is a Daniel's fast? | Daniel | skccab | 193212
Hi Chuy, Your question leaves much to the imagination so I'm just gonna take a shot at it. Are you referring to Dan. 10:2-3? I can tell you how many people interpret this kind of fast (others here on the Forum will probably have some insights for you also). It doesn't state that Daniel did not eat or drink at all during this period. Instead, it says that no "tasty" food, nor meat or wine was consumed, and no pleasantries such as ointments were used. So, many folks perform a "Daniel fast" by eliminating "favorites" from their meals for a period (eating purely for sustenance) and during the times they might be thinking about the wonderful Outback steak meal they give that time to prayer/worship/Bible study. Others often will turn off the TV or stereo for a week or two and "give" that time to the Lord. It could be the giving up for a time of anything that we do strictly for our fleshly pleasures. That is, we don't stay home from work for 5 days , or leave the dishes in the sink for a week, we don't give up that hour of bedtime stories with the kids, etc. In other words, a "Daniel fast" is simply a quick, descriptive term for giving to God what is His . 233 | God will write it on their hearts | Acts 20:32 | skccab | 192911
God's morning to ya! Could these be the verses you were looking for? Jer 31:32 not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them," declares the LORD. Jer 31:33 "But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days," declares the LORD, "I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Jer 31:34 "They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them," declares the LORD, "for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more." 234 | Why is Enoch not at the Trasnfiguration? | Bible general Archive 3 | skccab | 192874
Hi Jesusman, For starters I have no clue either, but I did have a thought that no one else has brought up. Of the 3 that did appear at the transfiguration - they were all of the lineage of Noah and Enoch is not.? He was toward the end of the genealogy that brought in the flood. What do you think, could there be something in that? Shalom Cheri |

236 | Is eating out on Sunday wrong? | Bible general Archive 3 | skccab | 192569
Hello Michael03 Don't worry about it. Sunday is NOT the day G-d gave for rest and worship. Aside from that, your friend has no right to try to put that condemnation on you. (As to the cooks and waiters/waitresses, those people are already there at "work" whether or not anyone comes in to eat). Cheri |

Hi Jesusman, I'm with you, I love archeaology. There is nothing wrong with proving the Biblical histories. In fact, I had the Arch. Bible (gave it away, font too small - but kept the CDs that came with it), and it's amazing. |

240 | Bold/ meek in faith kindly describe each | Rom 8:28 | skccab | 192324
Morning Vinodh, Being bold in faith often means speaking the Word even when it is not the popular thing to do; living the Word when that is not the popular thing to do. We do not want to be meek in faith. We want to be meek in attitude. Heb. 4:12 says, "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." It's very easy to take the Word of God and beat people up with it, rather we should gently bind up their wounds with the Word in meekness. Blessings Cheri |
