241 | Pt.1 Female Overseer | 1 Tim 2:12 | TheCurtMan | 86341
First of all I think it is unbiblical to take a 'conditional biblical principle and aply it across the board. One can not say that a woman can never have authority over a man, because like I said, our Father never elaborated on this in the areana of the work field, therefore one can not say it aplies. He was specific in the areana of the household, and Sunday Morning Service. Also, there is a difference between being a Pastor, and being a Teacher, and scripture tells women that they should teach. It implies that they should not teach a man is all. Have you notice that young women today don't know how to be a young woman?? Why is that?? Because they haven't been taught properly that's why. Man isn't the only one in the world that needs to be taught. Teaching for the Woman of God is a commandment. So why get upset over what we can't do and focus on what truely needs to be done. Christians all over this world is falling short of our Heavenly Father's Expectations because our focus is not where it should be, and I'm no exception |

243 | True of False Prophet?? | 2 Timothy | TheCurtMan | 87619
Truthfinder, I was wondering if you would help me to find the truth in a matter. I would like to know why a child of the King would follow a false prophet like the Wathctower Bible and Tract Society?? The second President of this society, J.F. Rutherford, laid down the qualifications of a false prophet, his qualifications matches those in Deut. 18:21-22. By this definition, the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society is considered to be a false prophet. So why follow the theological teachings of a false prophet?? |

244 | True of False Prophet?? | 2 Timothy | TheCurtMan | 87654
Now I'm really confused. You're telling me that you are intentionally, with full knowledge, following a False Prophet, just because they teach a doctrine that tickles your fancy?? Then you're going to take this garbage and spread it, not caring who you might infect with it on this website?! Back in the day, you could've gotten stoned to death for spreading unsound doctrine. However; I don't think that you're that thick in the head. I think that you're on joke time with the word of God, in essance, trying to be funny. I think that you're well aware of the fact that the Watchtower is a False Prophet, which is why you're probably not a Witness. But you were at one time wasn't you Truthfinder?? |

245 | Are we ready? | 2 Tim 4:2 | TheCurtMan | 98148
I personally do not believe that convenience has influenced the church as much as the adversary has through lazy and selfish Christians who are to involved with self to come out of their comfort zone to aid anyone. I believe that Paul was commanding Timothy to be ready in season and out of season to live Godly (which includes preaching the word), inspite of the opposition that all Christians will face. The first 5 verses of chp. 3 will give you some idea of what some of those oppositions were. Being ready at all times, looking for every opportunity to serve the Lord, to share His Word with others DO NOT INCLUDE SETTLING INTO A COMFORT ZONE. Abraham was uprooted and told to go to Canaan. Moses found out that he was a Hebrew; and if Jesus ever had a comfort zone other than doing the will of the Father, than I am unaware of it. As far as what our response should be, at present the best that I could suggest is prayer, for the worker. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. The CurtMan |

246 | Are we ready? | 2 Tim 4:2 | TheCurtMan | 98243
How might we recognize a comfort zone? Could it be found in our tolerance of sin in our midst? Perhaps complacency? How about routine in our worship or devotional life - might this obscure the small still voice calling us to another place? For me I believe that a Comfort Zone is the inability to be bothered with something that is going to add extra inconveniences and stress to our daily routine. No one really likes to be inconvenienced. Yes; I believe that it can be found in our tolerance of sin. We as Christians are so bombarded by sin on a daily basis, that it nolonger affect us to the degree that it should. Whenever I turn on the news, I listen about the death of someone. At one time where I might have been sadden by the incident, now unless it’s someone I know, it nolonger phases me. I know it’s not right but that’s the way it is. And yes I believe that it can also be through complacency as well as through routine in worship. But I also believe that we are beyond the point of pondering it, we are at the point of taking action, collectively, as one body. Unfortunately this is easier said than done. The CurtMan |

247 | Is gambling wrong ? | James 4:17 | TheCurtMan | 116901
There isn’t an 11th Commandment that says ‘thou shalt not gamble’. However, according to the 4th chapter of James, 17th verse, it stipulates that if we know the right thing to do and do not do it, it is sin. All that we have, God entrusted it to us. What we do with what we have depends on the type of servants that we are. We will be held accountable for our actions and our decisions. When God ask us about that which He entrusted unto us, are we going to tell Him we lost it gambling?? There’s a parable told by Jesus in Matt. 25:14. The lazy servant did not gamble his master’s belonging away, but at the same time, neither did he do that which was right. Do Christians gamble and talk about it?? Yes they do. I know several Christians that like to play the lottery. I do not doubt their salvation because of it, because I know that all Christians struggle with something. Playing the lottery is there struggle. I’m not aware of much that I can do about it other than pray for them. They do not see a problem with it. If they cannot see the problem, then the problem do not exist as far as they can see. The CurtMan |

248 | FAITH? | 1 Pet 1:7 | TheCurtMan | 95766
Well gee, I’d personally like to tell you to pray for it and God will open up the windows of Heaven and strengthen your faith overnight. Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way. According to I Peter, as gold is heated, impurities float to the top and can be skimmed off. Steel is tempered or strengthened by heating it in fire. Likewise, our trials and tribulations refine and strengthen our faith. In my personal walk. I found out that the more troubles I had, the more I wanted to God; the more I wanted to trust God the easier it became to trust Him. Besides, He has all the answers anyway. The CurtMan |

249 | HOW DO WE GROW IN FAITH | 2 Pet 1:3 | TheCurtMan | 100404
It just so happens that your question is the main topic of our Sunday School Lesson this very Sunday. It’s also taken from the exact same verse. I’m already out of time so I’ll make this as breif as possible. 2 Peter 1:3 says, “Seeing that His divine power has granted to us EVERYTHING pertaining to life AND godliness…” What we need to grow in faith, we already have. See Faith must be more than a belief in certain facts; it must result in action, growth in Christian Character, and the practise of moral discipline, or it will die according to James 2:14-17. 2 Peter 1:4-9. Read It; Study It; and Practice It. It is the answer to your question. The CurtMan |

250 | the angels that sinned | 2 Pet 2:4 | TheCurtMan | 96821
Greetings Makarios, I was wondering if you'd explain something to me, this is a line in your post, "If you are wondering whether God's angels can still "fall" today, the answer is no. Following the massive angelic revolt, God "elected" or permanently confirmed the holiness of the angels who chose to remain loyal to Him (1 Timothy 5:21)." Is this an indication that angles today do not have the freedom of choice that Lucifer and other angles had at one time?? The CurtMan |

251 | the angels that sinned | 2 Pet 2:4 | TheCurtMan | 97368
Makarios, Good Morning. Sorry it took me so long to respond to you but I’ve had a very interesting weekend. A friend of mind gave me a Dell. V.D.T; C.P.U; Printer, the whole nine yards. I took the system home and sat it in the middle of my Living Room until I was ready for it. Two hours later my ceiling wrapped itself around it. It came down like a ton of bricks. Missed me by maybe four or five inches. I looked at my system, looked in the mirror, then looked at my wife and told her better the computer than me. Praise God I’m able to walk around and joke about it. So now I’m back to square one, systemless. I’ve read the scriptures provided by you to New Creature and I fail to see the basis for this belief, what am I missing?? I’ve always been under the impression that God did not want mindless followers, but those who followed Him by choice, is that not a principle that can be seen in John 3:16 and 18?? Didn’t Isaiah say something like, “choose this day whom you will follow”?? The Lords Prayer in Matt. 6:10 indicate that God’s will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. If His will in Heaven is to strip the angles of their freedom of choice, then why do I wrestle with sin?? This is how I see it. If I’m wrong, you mind showing me my error?? The CurtMan |

252 | the angels that sinned | 2 Pet 2:4 | TheCurtMan | 97449
Greetings Makarios, I will mediate on the things you've said. Thanks I just can't help but to feel that at one time they had this "Freedom of Choice", misused it, and then had it stripped from them. It's not like God didn't know what was going to happen. That in itself leaves me with a dozen of other questions, like for one: Why give it to them in the first place?? Did all this take place before God called everything in the garden 'good'?? I realize that God's ways are as high above our ways as the Heavens are above the Earth, but that doesn't stop me from having a number of questions. Nevertheless, thanks again. The CurtMan |

253 | were angels saved by works? | 2 Pet 2:4 | TheCurtMan | 97459
I have a hard time grasping the idea that a third of the heavenly host was inherently liable to rebel while the rest were inherently loyal. (of course I have a similar problem with fallen man). Greetings John, This statement put into words a problem that I had and could not put into words. Thanks. I totally agree with you on this one. The CurtMan |

254 | Will the earth be distroyed? | 2 Pet 3:13 | TheCurtMan | 115759
Will the earth be distroyed? YES!! I can not explain the writtings of Solomon in Ecclesiastes as clearly as I’d like. However; take a look at v.2. He states that all is vanity. Is that what you think about your Christian Walk? Your relationship with the Lord, is it vanity? II Perter 3:12-13 says, “Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13) Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Revelations 21:1 says, “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away;and there was no more sea. This earth as we know it will cease to exsist at some point and time. I just can not say when. Therefore your previous thoughts about the destruction of the earth were correct. And, “YES, this is very important”. The CurtMan |

255 | What is a "carnal" Christian? | 1 John 3:10 | TheCurtMan | 92102
RM2, Actually I think that you've answered my questions quite well. Thanks. I've heard many different answers to a Carnal Christian, and some of them run borderline to a complete joke, nothing that one could actually take seriously. I do have one other question. How do I go by locating a question or comment by the reference no? Such as 91913? I had to take the long way around and it was quite time consumming. |

258 | Is antichrist a man or a spirit? | 1 John 4:3 | TheCurtMan | 87447
Hey Prazn, Are you suggesting that everyone that doesn't believe in Jesus is anti-christ?? I'm only asking because I'm not comprehending how you're defining 'spirit of person'. According to this verse in 1 John, I've always been under the impression that the 'spirit' that doesn't confess Jesus isn't the 'spirit of man', per say, but one of the third that got kicked out of heaven. The antichrist was a heavenly being, that took a third of God's angles with him when he lost his place in heaven, in this text of scripture, that third of angles are called spirits. Jesus did say something like, "if you're not with me, then you're against me." I guess in that perspective, a non-believer could quite possibly be called antichrist. Please get back with me on you're definition of 'spirit of person', because if you're referring to my worldly nature, then my first question would be do the Adversary have the ability to pour out his spirit on mankind like God does?? And from there I have a dozen others. |

259 | Does God love everything? | 1 John 4:8 | TheCurtMan | 98152
You know, I think that there will be many that strongly disagree with me on this one, but yeah. I think that God still love the adversary inspite of all that he’s done and will do. The reason I believe this is because in the Sermon on the Mount. Matt. 5:43-45 (NKJV) Jesus said, “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven…” Now why would God command us to love our enemies when He hates His?? That one just ain’t adding up on my calculator. We are suppose to follow the commandments of the Lord, we are suppose to love our enemies and He isn’t doing it Himself. I’m having a hard time with that one. God is Love, I John 4:8. I’m under the impression that the only thing that God does not love is SIN. In this case that is an act against God. What ever happened to the belief that we are suppose to Love the sinner, and Hate the sin?? The CurtMan |

260 | once save always saved? | Revelation | TheCurtMan | 96594
Hey Fran1946, Got a question for you. Actually I have a few questions. Is it possible to know the Word of God without it having any perminate effects in our lives?? “You searched the scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me; 40. And you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.” John 5:39-40. Now here’s a group of people that thought that they had eternal life through bible study, but Jesus let them know that was not the case. So is it possible to be aware of the Word of God and it not have a perminate effect in our lives?? If this is possible, then I believe that 2 Peter 2:20-22 is referring to this same type of person. I believe that Peter is speaking of a person who has learned about Christ and how to be saved and has quite possibly been positively influenced by christians. This person has then rejected the truth and returned to his or her sinful state. According to v.21, they are worst of then before, because they have rejected the ONLY way out of sin. How do you interpret John 10:27-29?? “My sheep hear My voice and I know them, and they follow Me; 28 and I give eternal life to them, and they WILL NEVER PERISH; and NO ONE will snatch them out of My hand. 29. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.” Now if I’m interpreting your understanding correctly to imply that salvation can be lost, then does it not appear that Jesus has spoken incorrectly in this verse. If we can lose our salvation, the some of us WILL PERISH, and someone HAS plucked us out of the hands of the Father, the individual themselves. It also appears that Romans 8:1, “Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus”, is incorrect. I personally do not believe all this, but if losing one’s salvation is a possibility, then there are a number of scriptures that tends to give misleading indications. What’s your take on all of this?? The CurtMan |
