Bible Question: Thinking about the fact that God is Love do you believe that God still loves satan after all he has done and tried to do? |
Bible Answer: You know, I think that there will be many that strongly disagree with me on this one, but yeah. I think that God still love the adversary inspite of all that he’s done and will do. The reason I believe this is because in the Sermon on the Mount. Matt. 5:43-45 (NKJV) Jesus said, “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven…” Now why would God command us to love our enemies when He hates His?? That one just ain’t adding up on my calculator. We are suppose to follow the commandments of the Lord, we are suppose to love our enemies and He isn’t doing it Himself. I’m having a hard time with that one. God is Love, I John 4:8. I’m under the impression that the only thing that God does not love is SIN. In this case that is an act against God. What ever happened to the belief that we are suppose to Love the sinner, and Hate the sin?? The CurtMan |
