181 | How far can Christians go in sinning? | Heb 12:8 | glory777 | 7310
What do you mean? Before what? I don't know if that is a question about the unforgivable sin, or if you mean justifiable sin(?). Am I missing something?
182 | What is our sacrifice of praise to God? | Heb 13:15 | glory777 | 11725
Steve- I have often puzzled over this one. I heard on the radio the other day a woman giving an answer that fits. A sacrifice is giving up something or doing something that is difficult for the Lord, right? She said that when there are times that you don't feel very "spiritual" or thankful or feel like praising God, do it anyway. Don't know if that is what it means, technically, but I find that when I use it, bring Him the sacrifice, He turns it into genuine worship. Debbie |

183 | What is the Crown of Life | James 1:12 | glory777 | 62283
When we invite Jesus to be our Lord and Savior, we have eternal life. But there are also rewards given for what we do on this earth and, I think, some are in the form of crowns so that we may join with the elders (as in Revelation 4)in laying our "crowns" at the Lord's feet. Debbie |

184 | Are we done? | 1 Pet 1:3 | glory777 | 7070
Charis- I am not an expert, but I believe that, as physical birth is at a moment in time, and the birth itself is complete, so is being born again. It happens at a deffinite moment. When Jesus says, "I stand at the door and knock" in Rev. 3:20 it is also implying a moment in time. I think at the time you admit you are a sinner, that you are so far below a perfect God and can never attain righteousness on your own, you are glimpsing the perfectness of the kingdom of heaven. As physical birth is a process of growing, so is spiritual birth. You are born, just not adult. |

185 | Does the bible refer God's word as the " | 1 Pet 2:2 | glory777 | 47098
Kanomy-I don't recall scripture calling the Word of God as daily bread, but it does refer to it as milk (1 Peter 2:2) and reference again to God's Word as food in Hebrews 5:12-6:5. Also Psalm 110:103 speaks about how sweet the Words of the Lord are. So, although I don't recall anything about it being called, specifically, daily bread, the word of the Lord is something to be savored, develope a palate for and will cause us to grow and be nourished by daily consumption. God's blessings- Debbie |

186 | are we free? | Rev 3:16 | glory777 | 7803
First I would want to know what that vision is? Is it in accordance with God's word? Everything has to be judged according to that. If it is, then I would have to say there are always going to be people that try to take the joy of the Lord from you. Jesus wants us to be fanatical about Him. In Rev. 2:4, Jesus is rebuking a church because it had left it's "first love." Too many "Christians" have never felt the excitement and desire of a "first love" for Christ or they have become so "mature" that they think it should be tempered. Christ also says of those who are lukewarm "I will spew (vomit) you out of my mouth" in Rev. 3:16. Keep the excitement for the Lord. We are to be a people called apart and there will be those who try to mold us to what THEY expect. Keep studying the Word and remember, we follow what God says, and not man. Freedom is not an excuse for doing anything WE want, but for doing what God wants.
187 | Can these Ten Kings be "Al-Qaeda"? | Rev 17:16 | glory777 | 59509
Are there ten leaders in Al-qaeda? I thought they represented real leaders of real countries or regions? And does it really matter? How would we know for sure? There were people who thought Hitler was the Antichrist. I think the main thing for us to focus on is that the end times could happen at any time and to get the gospel out to as many people as possible as if today is our last day and to keep looking for the return of the King with anticipation. Speculation will do nothing for the Kingdom - action w/prayer will! Peace in Christ to you- Debbie |

188 | Isn't every word of God vital to us? | Rev 17:16 | glory777 | 59562
Pastor Glenn- Every word in the bible is important, but people can get so caught up in what I call "revelation theory" at the expense of what Is known. If, by chance, it were so about the kings, what would it profit us? It would give us knowledge, but would it affect our day to day living? Would it spur us into being more diligent in presenting the gospel? I don't think the Lord wants us to work for Him out of fear. I don't think He wants people to come to Him out of fear. There has been speculation that the major countries forming the European Union (?) were the kings prophesied, and, as I said, HItler as antichrist. But if we go around espousing these as facts, we would end up discrediting ourselves in the eyes of the world. Now, I know I just opened myself up to another whole can of worms, but in order to get others to know we are beleivable, we have to stay creditable. By the way, I don't think al-quida has enough clout for any 10 to be considered kings. Maybe I don't read enough of the news, but there are other countries that have more respectability and visibility and downright power that would have to be in the group, in my opinion only, of course. (I was a revelation junkie at one time. But ask me what the Father was like and I couldn't give you much of an anwer then either!) Bless you- Debbie |

189 | in ot will the peope be judge by law | Rev 20:12 | glory777 | 63129
This may be debated, but I think that, the laws were written to keep the Jews as a separate people (and also a healthier people) and the sacrificial laws were kept to remind people of how much they needed to be saved and, of course, as a poor substitute of our Savior to come. But it is by faith, and faith alone that salvation comes and always has come. Abraham may have observed all the laws and sacrifices, but it was by faith that righteousness was accounted to him. But just as we will be rewarded by our works (if our motives are right) so will they by their law. Debbie |
