At last!...we agree on something. :-) You stated: "If I sound negative, thats because I only see negative things happening within EVERY church I have tried. But then we know what God's word says will happen in the last days, and how there will come a falling away BEFORE the Lord's return. 2 Thess. 2:1-3" You are certainly not alone regarding your view of the modern church in America. But, the good news is that there remains a remnant of God's people throughout all christian denominations. The answer is not to despair of finding a faithful church (and praise God there are many) but to continue asking Him for guidance as to staying where you are or looking further for another church. Keep seeking, keep asking and keep knocking and it will be opened unto you. Rom 11:4,5 But what is the divine response to him? "I HAVE KEPT for Myself SEVEN THOUSAND MEN WHO HAVE NOT BOWED THE KNEE TO BAAL." In the same way then, there has also come to be at the present time a remnant according to God's gracious choice. John Sorry I took so long to respond. I agree that there is a remnant of the faithful who have not become lukewarm, compromised the true message, or have become like the church of Sardis, who though they had a reputation for being alive, in name only had actually become dead spiritually. But even they had a few who remained faithful. Blessings New Creature |
