Subject: Can a person lose salvation? |
Bible Note: You quoted: Those who believe "once saved always saved" believe that one grand decision ushers them into an irrevocable state of grace that is unconditionally secure If I believed that my salvation rested on a decision of mine, then I could see the writers point. But, because I believe my savlation was a decision made by God (and He is faithful) I must reject the man-centered doctrine that teaches that true believers may lose or reject faith in Jesus Christ. Looking unto Jesus the AUTHOR and FINISHER of our faith. My assurance is based on His righteousness and His faithfulness; without Him we can do nothing. Those who hold human free will to be the linch pin of their theology, in order to be consistant, must also claim that even after glorification the possibility of sin still exists in God's people.
