Dear casiv, I have been reading this thread, and do not quite get the focus of attention you are putting on the FATHER. I well understand that all things were created by God the Father, but now we live in a age when the fulness of the triune God has been made evident. Furthermore: 'And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth."' Matthew 28:18 NASB. Also: "...when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed--for our testimony to you was believed. To this end also we pray for you always, that our God will count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ." 2 Thessalonians 1:10-12 NASB. Presently, our salvation and glorification rests in the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. He has been given all authority. I suspect that emotionally dwelling on the first Person of the Godhead feels good, but we cannot neglect the spiritual reality that the author and perfecter of our faith is the Lord Jesus. So... "...fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2 NASB If we are going to fix our eyes on a single Person of the Godhead, should it not be Jesus? Bless you, my friend, in Christ Jesus, charis |

PERSONAL NOTE - CHARIS I am fixing on the Father because I try to fix on God. When I think of God I think of the FATHER. When I think of JESUS I think of the Son knowing that God is implied to another Christian. When I think of the HOLY SPIRIT, I think of His image He gave me when I was Created, but God is still inferred by other Christians. I think that using all CAPS is giving praise to GOD knowing what the OT copiests went through before they wrote the name of God. God has our respect and we may choose to show it by doing little things as part of our daily lives, like using CAPS. Also, Sir Pent is trying to get us organized a bit. One of the suggestions was that we try real hard to stay on topic. I wouldn't even mention it but you have always been kind and respectful in your notes and so I believe you will take the suggestion in the right way :) GOD Bless Jensen |

Dear Jensen, Greetings in Jesus' name! Thank you for your blessings, my friend. I know that Sir Pent is trying to keep us on track. :-) That is why I used a question format, which gives us a new Subject Title. In any case, Jesus is THE subject of this forum, so I can't be too far off topic! :-) I am not sure I understand what you meant by 'implied' and 'inferred,' but this does not change the fact that the Bible very clearly teaches that the focus of our faith in God is Jesus. "...fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2 NASB Also, I understand your (and casiv's) zeal and desire to honor God, but capitalizing the first letter should be emphasis enough, in my humble opinion. Of course, you are free to do as you want. :-) (maybe our good fellow Ray has some commentary on this, as he is our 'Resident Capitalization Expert') I will start this topic on another thread, for the sake of propriety and sanity. :-) In Christ Jesus, charis |

Hi charis, As far as capitalization is concerned I think that the first letter is emphasis enough, if people know where you are coming from. All caps leave little doubt. But I would think that JESUS should get as much honor. Thank you for calling me a good fellow although I know you are not from Britain. As far as being good we know that only One is good. And that "Fellow" can be found in John 9:28, "We know that God has spoken to Moses, but as for this Man, we do not know where (He) is from." My daughter has to use the computer, Later, Ray |
