Subject: Only seal and horse in same verse Rev6:5 |
Bible Note: Greetings Casiv! My friend, I think that you are confusing something in Strongs. There was an obselete letter in Greek called the stigma. However, it did not look like a cross. It was shaped like an upside down 5. In fact, it looked very similar to the final form of sigma. The two were very confusing, thus stigma was dropped. Strong refers to # 4742. This is not the letter, but the word stigma, which means mark. It is only used in the New Testament in Gal. 6:17, where it refers to the marks of the Lord Jesus, made by the cross. In addition, the only manuscript which uses the letter stigma in Rev. 13:18 is the Textus Receptus. All other manuscripts use the full names of the numbers. Thus, Rev. 13:18 says that the number of the beast is 'hexakosioi hexakonta hex' or six hundred sixty six. Everything else you said about the numbers is pure speculation without any Scripture to back it up! In Christ, Tim Moran |
