Hi Christian7 I just couldn't put it aside so I am resonding to your first question. when actually the Bible says that the Word was with God and the Word was God. also I would like for you to help me understand some other scripture My response: I contend Christian7 that God’s Word the Bible does not say that the Word (Jesus, God’s Son) is Almighty God himself. I contend that Jesus is God’s Son. Jesus’ father is Almighty God. John 1:18 tells me that Jesus is Almighty God's only-begotten god. I contend that Trinitarians that translate John 1:1 are trying to confuse us into thinking that the Word (Jesus) is God (with a capital “G” means Almighty God, Jesus’ father). I know the Bible teaches that Jesus is indeed a GOD, but not the Almighty God whose name is Jehovah. Many other Bible translations, I feel are being honest in their translation of John 1:1. I can provide many many examples of underhandedness involved in various translations of the Bible to promote the teaching of the trinity. Notice how John 1:1 is translated by the following Bibles: Joh 1:1—“and the Word was a god (godlike; divine)” Gr.(kai the·os' en ho lo'gos) 1808 “and the word was a god” The New Testament, in An Improved Version, Upon the Basis of Archbishop Newcome’s New Translation: With a Corrected Text, London. 1864 “and a god was the Word” The Emphatic Diaglott (J21, interlinear reading), by Benjamin Wilson, New York and London. 1935 “and the Word was divine” The Bible—An American Translation, by J. M. P. Smith and E. J. Goodspeed, Chicago. 1950 “and the Word was a god” New World Translation of the Christian Greek Scriptures, Brooklyn. 1975 “and a god (or, of a divine Das Evangelium nach kind) was the Word” Johannes, by Siegfried Schulz,Göttingen, Germany. 1978 “and godlike sort was Das Evangelium nach the Logos” Johannes,by Johannes Schneider,Berlin. 1979 “and a god was the Logos” Das Evangelium nach Johannes,by Jürgen Becker, Würzburg, Germany. These Greek scholars recognized why John 1:1 was written by the apostle John the way he did and translated it accordingly. I understand it too and can explain it. So much for tonight. Have a good night. Truthfinder |

4 | Jesus Created or Creator??? | Rev 3:14 | Truthfinder | 96026 | ||
Hi Flinky, Yes, I do know how many gods in all the Bible mentions. Some are false gods, and angels are called gods, and even some men are called by the Bible "gods". But you and I know that there is only echad elohim, ONE GOD, or only one Almighty God and then there is his beloved Son Jesus of which John 1:18 calls, the only-begotten god. And don't forget John 1:1 where Jesus is identified as the Word and "a god". Jesus again at Isaiah 9:6 a mighty god. Truthfinder |
