1 | Jesus Created or Creator??? | Rev 3:14 | Truthfinder | 95942
Hi Christian7, What does "God's Son" mean to you. Also, what does God's "only-begotton Son" mean to you? Why do you "know" that Jesus is as much the Creator as is God? Jehovah’s first creation was his “only-begotten Son” (Joh 3:16), “the beginning of the creation by God.” (Re 3:14) This one, “the firstborn of all creation,” was used by Jehovah in creating all other things, those in the heavens and those upon the earth, “the things visible and the things invisible.” (Col 1:15-17) John’s inspired testimony concerning this Son, the Word, is that “all things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence,” and the apostle identifies the Word as Jesus Christ, who had become flesh. (Joh 1:1-4, 10, 14, 17) As wisdom personified, this One is represented as saying, “Jehovah himself produced me as the beginning of his way,” and he tells of his association with God the Creator as Jehovah’s “master worker.” (Pr 8:12, 22-31) In view of the close association of Jehovah and his only-begotten Son in creative activity and because that Son is “the image of the invisible God” (Col 1:15; 2Co 4:4), it was evidently to His only-begotten Son and master worker that Jehovah spoke in saying, “Let us make man in our image.” Ge 1:26. After creating his only-begotten Son, Jehovah used him in bringing the heavenly angels into existence. This preceded the founding of the earth, as Jehovah revealed when questioning Job and asking him: “Where did you happen to be when I founded the earth . . . when the morning stars joyfully cried out together, and all the sons of God began shouting in applause?” (Job 38:4-7) It was after the creation of these heavenly spirit creatures that the material heavens and earth and all elements were made, or brought into existence. And, since Jehovah is the one primarily responsible for all this creative work, it is ascribed to him eventhough it was through Jesus. Ne 9:6; Ps 136:1, 5-9. Please read the verses I have provided in this post and allow the Bible to answer this question for you. Truthfinder |

Truthfinder I checked out your scriptures and was wondering where you said John’s inspired testimony concerning this Son, the Word, is that “all things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence,” and the apostle identifies the Word as Jesus Christ, who had become flesh. when actually the Bible says that the Word was with God and the Word was God. also I would like for you to help me understand some other scripture John 20:27.Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. 28. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. John 1:1 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Titus 2:13 says, "Looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus." Ephesians 4:30.And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Acts 13:2.As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted," the Holy Ghost said", Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. Acts 5:3.But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? 4. Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. How can one lie both to the Holy Ghost and God? Unless of course God The Fater, God the Son, And God the Holy Spirit are all three one? The Greek word for "first created" is the word Protoktioti. If Paul wanted to say Christ was the first created being, he would have used this word but he does not. He uses another term, Prototokos. Paul is referring to the Jewish use of the word first-born which not only means first one born but also is used as a title of sovereignty and pre-eminence. Here's an example of the meaning of the word. In Psalm 89:27 God says of David, "I also shall make him My first-born, the highest of the kings of the earth." Let's take a good look and see how first- born is used here. Is David the first-born son of Jesse? No, he is the eighth and youngest son of Jesse. Then how is it that David is the first-born? In the Old Testament use of the word, he is first- born in that he is pre-eminent or sovereign of all the kings of the earth. The Greek word for beginning is arche, which is used in many ways. It is used to mean "origin or source of, or ruler," but not first creation. Rev 3:14. And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; these things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; Rev 21: 6. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. Isaiah 44:6 says, "This is what Jehovah has said, 'The king of Israel and the Repurchaser of him, Jehovah of armies, I am the first and I am the last.'" Revelation 1:17-18 which says, "Do not be fearful; I am the First and the Last, and the living one; and I became dead but look! I am living forever." Who is speaking here? It is Jesus for only He became dead but is now alive forever. God Bless |

Hi Christian7 I just couldn't put it aside so I am resonding to your first question. when actually the Bible says that the Word was with God and the Word was God. also I would like for you to help me understand some other scripture My response: I contend Christian7 that God’s Word the Bible does not say that the Word (Jesus, God’s Son) is Almighty God himself. I contend that Jesus is God’s Son. Jesus’ father is Almighty God. John 1:18 tells me that Jesus is Almighty God's only-begotten god. I contend that Trinitarians that translate John 1:1 are trying to confuse us into thinking that the Word (Jesus) is God (with a capital “G” means Almighty God, Jesus’ father). I know the Bible teaches that Jesus is indeed a GOD, but not the Almighty God whose name is Jehovah. Many other Bible translations, I feel are being honest in their translation of John 1:1. I can provide many many examples of underhandedness involved in various translations of the Bible to promote the teaching of the trinity. Notice how John 1:1 is translated by the following Bibles: Joh 1:1—“and the Word was a god (godlike; divine)” Gr.(kai the·os' en ho lo'gos) 1808 “and the word was a god” The New Testament, in An Improved Version, Upon the Basis of Archbishop Newcome’s New Translation: With a Corrected Text, London. 1864 “and a god was the Word” The Emphatic Diaglott (J21, interlinear reading), by Benjamin Wilson, New York and London. 1935 “and the Word was divine” The Bible—An American Translation, by J. M. P. Smith and E. J. Goodspeed, Chicago. 1950 “and the Word was a god” New World Translation of the Christian Greek Scriptures, Brooklyn. 1975 “and a god (or, of a divine Das Evangelium nach kind) was the Word” Johannes, by Siegfried Schulz,Göttingen, Germany. 1978 “and godlike sort was Das Evangelium nach the Logos” Johannes,by Johannes Schneider,Berlin. 1979 “and a god was the Logos” Das Evangelium nach Johannes,by Jürgen Becker, Würzburg, Germany. These Greek scholars recognized why John 1:1 was written by the apostle John the way he did and translated it accordingly. I understand it too and can explain it. So much for tonight. Have a good night. Truthfinder |

Jesus is "a God". Any idea how many gods in all?
7 | Jesus Created or Creator??? | Rev 3:14 | Truthfinder | 96026
Hi Flinky, Yes, I do know how many gods in all the Bible mentions. Some are false gods, and angels are called gods, and even some men are called by the Bible "gods". But you and I know that there is only echad elohim, ONE GOD, or only one Almighty God and then there is his beloved Son Jesus of which John 1:18 calls, the only-begotten god. And don't forget John 1:1 where Jesus is identified as the Word and "a god". Jesus again at Isaiah 9:6 a mighty god. Truthfinder |
