survivor, You say "The murder of God's son served a purpose - it provided a ransom for Adam" How so? Christ was not just murdered, He was "delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God" (Acts 2:23). I think it more Biblically correct to state that Christ was the sacrifice for the sin of mankind. John 1:29 tells us that "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world". What it did was to provide atonement for sin- not a ranson for Adam. Your analysis is more personal opinion than one founded on scripture. This language regarding "a ransom" sounds suspiciously like another former poster, a JW named "alienresident"! Any thoughts? Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |

Alienresident is an idiot. If he understands the ransom, he should have asked you: Why did Jesus have to suffer before his death? One's response will reveal whether his entire belief system is based on "the" solid rock or a false sand foundation. |
