Doc, you said "every instance of the manifestation of tongues recorded in Acats that there was great evangelism" ... it happened thrice, here are Acts 10 and 19. There is a difference. Here the messengers spoke in tongues and in other two accounts, those that heard the message. We don't know how many were in Cornelius' household - so would you call it great. Is 12 great (Acts 19)? Acts 2:41 says three thousand souls and Acts 4:4 says the number of the men came to be about five thousand. I don't see tongues in the latter passage. Searcher |
