Greetings Giam! Re Gen 3 and John 3 The serpent and the snake are NOT the same! First of all, satan was a beautiful yet beguiling creature - just because he is called a serpent in Gen 3:1 does not mean that we are to classify him as a "snake." In fact,because of what God says in Gen 3:14 . . . "Cursed are you above all livestock and wild animals," . . . it seems reasonable to me that the serpent was not ANY of the species that God created in Gen 1:24-25! I have reached this conclusion BECAUSE when God surveyed what he had created, He declared it GOOD! Jesus said, "No one is good--except God alone." Luke 18:19. So, following this line of thinking, that old serpent (Satan) and snakes cannot be connected! All snakes are placed in the class Reptilia and the order Squamata (meaning "the scaly ones"), along with the lizards. Snakes are in the suborder Serpentes. Yes, the bronze snake of Moses was in this "suborder" Serpentes! (Check out what happened to it in 2 Kings 18:4!) But this snake is NOT to be confused with the serpent of Gen 3! Feel free to love snakes . . .in a herpetorium or in a handbag! Blessings! Mommapbs RE: God's curse on the serpent Satan in Gen 3:14. Frankly, I think that the most important aspect of this verse is the "crawling on the belly" part. What do you think this means? |

Mommapbs! Thanks for your input! Your bottom line is waht I agree with: "Feel free to love snakes . . .in a herpetorium or in a handbag!" But God also says we are to love our enemies, Matthew 5:43-48, and our enemies include Satan, that ole serpent and that wicked spirit in high places, Rev 12:9 and ephesians 6:10-12, whom we are to resist with Love. James 4:7, 1 peter 5:8-9. So based on matthew 7:12: when God commands us to lvoe our enmies, matthew 5:43-48, God must also lvoe his enemy Satan, who also happens to be our enemy too! So we have a common enemy! So as u quoted, God loves without the hypocrisy of telling us to love whom he hates! His Love is genuine for he loves who he tells us to love. To me, the crawling on the belly part of gen 3:14 has to do with Love and Hate: When we hate what we are to lvoe, we are dragging Love on its belly, we are making Love crawl on its belly, and so dragging ourselves and God down! So a hater is crawling even when standing! So to hate who or what we are to lvoe is to spiritually make Love crawl with the maggots of hate when Love shd always be standing and flying high, SoS 2:4 just as to hate who or what God lvoes is to kill love with hate, and so is to murder love, which is why Hatred is the spirit of murder! This is why to hate anyone and then to kill them by killing their life is double murder: the killing of Love by Hate and the killing of life by hate! So too to hate any snake who crawls is to make it doubly crawl: on its belly and on its belly of hate! Is like humiliating someone we hate: make em crawl and hate em too! So as a Serpent, Satan doubly crawls on his belly by hating himself as a creepy-crawler: he is a crawler who is crawling with the ceepy crawling attitude of Hate! But because God curses in Love who/what he loves and blesses in Love who/waht he loves, Levit 26 and deut 28, then when God in Love cursed the serpent, whom he designed to crawl anyway, he was trying to get him to crawl with Love rather than crawl with hate! To crawl with love is to have Love standing even while crawling! So there is big differnce between crawling in Love and crawling in Hate! Because we love babies, we see their crawling with Love! So let us keep that Love standing strong whether we are crawling or sitting or lying down or walking! Hope that helps! Another thing i lvoe about all the people on this forum is that every one seems to be genuinely Bible-based! smile Look fwd to your comments! L and r, giam |

Greetings giam: God does not love Satan, nor should we! Be very careful how you handle God's Word! God tells us plainly to hate what is evil - Satan is evil. Psalm 97:10 Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. There is a difference between evil and enemies. You and I both have enemies. (Perhaps some participants may even think that they have enemies on this forum!)God has enemies too. But be careful: enemies are NOT synonomous with evil! When God tells us to love our enemies,it is a reminder of HOW God loves US - Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." This is important, even though we were ENEMIES of God, because of our sin, He still sent Jesus, to die in our place, so that we could be reconciled or brought into a right relationship with Him! God demonstrates HIS love to His enemies so that we will know how to respond to ours - with the same Agape love! Yes, we are told to "love our enemies," but we are not commanded to love evil anywhere in God's Word. Blessings on your evening! Mommapbs |

Thanks Mommapbs! So waht do u think God is saying here? Jude 1 8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, DESPISE dominion, and speak evil of dignities. 9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the Devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst/DARED NOT bring against him a railing/DESPISING accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. "when he disputed with the devil and argued about the body of Moses, he did not dare pronounce against him a railing judgment, (did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him NIV) but said, "The Lord rebuke you!" Jude 1:9 Michael chose to honor and glorify God by NOT accusing or judging - To do so would have usurped God's authority. (Isn't it interesting to note that one of Satan's objectives is to accuse the believer?!) Rev 12:10 Please consider all the posts that you have received on this matter. Remember that the Forum is just an instrument; I am praying the God will speak to you through His Word! Blessings in Christ's PERFECT love! Mommapbs |

7 | How to get perfect like God is perfect? | John 3:14 | Giam | 46598 | ||
Mommapbs! Thanks for your input and prayers in Christ's PERFECT Love! I second that attitude! smile It must be inspiring me by providing me with a perfect seg-way: Isn't God's Love perfect and whole because he loves both the just and the unjust, the perfect and the imperfect? Matthew 5:43-48 If he loved just the just and only the perfect, wd not His Love be half-perfect or partial or half-whole or imperfect or half-just? See what I mean? Therefore, is not God's Love made strong in weakness and perfect in imperfection and whole in unwholesomeness and healthy in sickness and rich in poverty and etc in its opposite-etc, so that when He is foolish, then He is wise, when He is weak, then He is strong, when He is etc, then He is the opposite-etc? smile Here are the scriptures: 2 Corinthians 12 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My STRENGTH IS MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for WHEN I AM WEAK, THEN I AM STRONG. 1 Corinthians 1 19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For after that in THE WISDOM OF GOD the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the FOOLISHNESS of preaching to save them that believe. 22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a STUMBLINGBLOCK, and unto the Greeks FOOLISHNESS; 24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ THE POWER OF GOD, and THE WISDOM OF GOD. 25 Because the FOOLISHNESS OF GOD is wiser than men; and THE WEAKNESS OF GOD is stronger than men. 26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 But God hath chosen THE FOOLISH things/PEOPLE of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen THE WEAK things/PEOPLE of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And BASE/UNPEDIGREED things/PEOPLE of the world, and things/PEOPLE which/WHO ARE DESPISED, hath God chosen, yea, and things/PEOPLE which are NOTHING/NOBODIES, to bring to nought things that are: What do u think? smile In Perfect Love for u as right and as wrong! giam Love and respect, giam |
