Subject: Is the Formula for sin to hate anything? |
Bible Note: Thanks Steve for your reply. U asked me to elaborate: Here is waht I believe: Based on Matthew 22:36-40 and 7:12, when God tells me to love him all the way, He must be also be already loving me all the way. i John 4:19 and John 15:9. And when God tells me to love my neybas as myself, he must be loving me as my neighbor and he must be loving my neigbor as me, by first loving himself as me and loving himself as my neighbor! See? I know u may have to think about that a bit. smile But once u have the premise of Love as in Matthew 22:36-40, the logic of Matthew 7:12 will show u all the rest! So it is clear to me that when God tells me to lvoe my neighbor as my self, I must, like Him, first love my self as my neyba in order to love my neyba as myself! So Steve, before we can love others, we have to lvoe ourselves. So if I hate u, who do I hate? Myself! When I hate u, u are NOT my problem! I am my own problem! To be specific, my attitude of hate for myself is my problem. I have a problem attitude and an attitude problem! And since our brains work by words, and all words have opposites, whatever I love u as or hate us as is always as the same word I love to hate me as! So: if I hate u as a fool, who do I hate? Myself. And who do i hate me as? As a fool! Try it out: it words for all words! That is why as kids we knew and said: it takes one to know one! As adults we say: before we can love others, we have to lvoe ourselves! So sure enuff, it was because I hated me as fool before i ever met u that when I ran into u and saw u as myself, that I hated u because i already also hated me a fool! See? So? Whatever words i hate me as are the words that i will hate all my neybas as! And, whatever words I hate me as wd be the words that i wd get offended when u call me by those names! So: Since God loves me as all words and their opposites, I am to lvoe me as God loves me: as all words and their oppisites. And since God loves me as all words and their opposites, to hate me as any word is the first sin, the first spiritual sin, the first sin in my thinking!! For to hate me as any words will be to hate God and my neighbor as myself as those very words! matthew 25:35-45, 1 John 4:20. In fact since Christ is the Word, to hate any word is to hate HIM as that word! See? That is why matthew 12:34-37: By your words u shall be justified and by your words u shall be condemned! So then it is very easy to see that if i hate myself as a dog or snake or u name it, when Christ calls me one or implies that i am one, I wd get offended! So Steve, if I told u waht words i hate, those wd be the very words I hate myself as, the very words i wd hate my neighbor as, and wd be the same words I wd hate God as! So to love my self as certain words and at the same time hate myself as the the opposites of those words is to have the double-minded attitude of Love and Hate to all things and persons! So waht u wrote here is perfect: "You speak of double-minded as hating one thing in opposition to loving another. Double-minded is trying to hold THE two opposite views of LOVE AND HATE FOR a single thing or idea or command. If you were to try to love and hate the same thing at the same time--that would be double-minded." Yes! So to apply Love and Hate to the same ONE set of things called words IS to be double-minded! God's righteousness is to apply Love ONLY to all words, and to apply hate ONLY to the sin of hating any word! Do u see? And now here is the perfect example of James 1:8: 2 Samuel 13 15 Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone. Your comments and questions wd be appreciated. L and R, giam |
