1 | who can explain to me? | John 1:1 | eveready2004 | 120260
God is only one Almighty God, creator of the world. My appreciation of this topic right now is that there is Only one Almighty God, and his name is Jehovah. In Genesis 1:26, John 1:10 and Col 1:15-17 shows that Jehovah and the Word created the world. However, according Rev 1:7-8,I do not accept that the Almighty God is Jesus Christ. My understanding of this verse here the Almighty is God, not the Word. The difference between the Almighty God and The Word or Jesus Christ; my underanding is that the Almighty God has no beginning and no ending, but the Word has the beginning because Col 1:15-17 shows very clearly. |

Eveready2004: Your theological perspective parallels the Watchtower heresies of Jehovah's Witnesses. Are you a Jehovah's Witness? ...... The following is a comment, adapted from Scofield Reference Bible notes, on your statement: "...the Word has the beginnig because Col. 1:15-17 shows very clearly." ...... "The first-born of all creation" (Gr. protokos) as used of our Lord here refers to priority of position rather than that of origin. This meaning is clear in Psalm 89:27: "Also I will make him my first-born, higher than the kings of the earth." The assertion of Colossians 1:15, therefore, is that Christ, as the eternal Son, holds the position of priority in relation to all creation, in that He was before all things (v.17), He created all things (v.16), and by Him all things consist, i.e., hold together (v.17). ...... Are you a Trinitarian? Do you believe that the Father is God, that the Son is God, that the Holy Spirit is God? ..... Do you deny the full deity of Jesus Christ? --Hank
3 | who can explain to me? | John 1:1 | eveready2004 | 120272
I have to bring out some thoughts based on your comments. 1. The Bible is a book, God's words, because I believe God created this world, and only can he use many people's hands presenting his story. 2. Everybody should take a look this book because that is God's will, and only Satan do not want us to get the truth. 3. As far as I am understanding that a true Christian should be like Jesus Christ, preaching the news of God's Kingdom to the world, taking care their lambs and carrying on daily cross. All these tasks should be taken, and is just like Luke 17:10, 'we are unworthy servants...'. 4.Every true Christian should have a humble heart and an open mind. I do not think I am qualified, but I will try to be qualified. Your doubt leads me that you are also qualified on the matter of this issue. |

Eveready2004: You say you would like to bring out some thoughts based on my comments. Now I would like to bring out some of your comments based on my thoughts. My thoughts are questions which I have asked you before, but you have not answered them. Are you a Jehovah's Witness? Do you deny the full deity of Jesus Christ? Please answer. The questions are simple and can be answered by a yes or a no. --Hank
5 | who can explain to me? | John 1:1 | eveready2004 | 120282
I am not only now but also future a Bible student. Preaching news of God's kingdom is not my will, but God's. To be a disciple and taking care lambs is Jesus Christ expectation. Right now, I am not a good one, but I will never give up. I do not care about that I am studing Bible with JW, Jewish people, Christian or some churches, but I am only focusing on studying with righteous and honest people because only these kind of people can bring truth to this Satan controlled world, and also I have learnt the story of Samaritan woman. I got the answer from your questions. That is: you do not deserved this group of the people, sometimes. I have to say sorry. |

eveready, This is a Study Bible Forum which welcomes all, yet has guidelines for all to follow. The questions addressed to you are for the purpose of understanding where you are coming from- your point of view. If you choose not to answer, that's up to you. However, many such as myself will not take you seriously. You should care about who you study the Bible with. It makes all the difference, my friend. One sure way to confusion is to take everyone's advice, JW, Mormon, Buddist, Muslim, and Christian. there is but one truth and one way to the truth- Jesus Christ (John 14:6). If English is your second language, one sure way to be thoroughly confused is to seek to understand it by studying Italian, French, Spanish and Chinese! It doesn't make sense:-) Excuse the late hour, but if you like Burger King you can certainly have it your way. Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |

If you visit the Holocaust Museum, why are Jehovah's Witnesses the only religious organization persecuted by Satan's dupe, Hitler? (Note: Jew is an ethnic distinction.) Why are some of the most intelligent people on earth atheists or worse, "critics of the Bible"? Say what you want about my brother "everready," faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains, and God has truly revealed the truth to babes!
8 | who can explain to me? | John 1:1 | BradK | 120342
Faith must have an object, and that object is the Lord Jesus Christ! faith in and of itself saves no one! "For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." I hope you don't expect me to disagree with you. Faith without works saves no one as well. "Prove yourself faithful even unto death, and I (Jesus) will give you the crown of life." (Rev 2:10)
