Bible Question:
According to the version of NASB and Amplified, in john 1:1-2 shows that: 'the Word was with God, and the Word was God.' My question will be based on this part. I could not understand in this part of verses because my English grammar knowlegde told me it was impossible to use the term in here 'the Word was God.' and 'the Word was with God.'. |
Bible Answer: well simply, someone may have a more elaborate answer, but the WORD as used here refers to Jesus. We cannot fully explain God with our limited minds so I think this is one of God's ways of describing Jesus to us. I found in rev3:14 where God is refered to as the AMEN. There is power in the word of God and a presence. So I guess in this instance "Word" is both a verb and a noun. If anyone finds me in error please let me know God's blessings to you ,,, |
