Acts 10:03 Day 1 - Cornelius vision Acts 10:09 Day 2 - Peter's vision "following day at noon" Acts 10:23 Day 3 - Trip to Cornelius "next day" Acts 10:24 Day 4 - Arrival at Cornelius "following day" Acts 10:30 ... so it was "four days ago" Not eating for three days and three nights (1Sa 30:12), and haven been ill three days ago (v 13), doesn’t mean both started at the same time. Not eating or drinking for three days, night or day (Est 4:16) means Esther had to wait until the third day to put on her royal robes (5:1), since it started at night. Doesn’t say “day or night.” Go ask a rabbi when Jonah would have been out of the big fish if he went in on Monday. I never said 72 hours. |

4 | Is "Paradise" the same as heaven? | Luke 23:43 | koscheiman | 173263 | ||
But if you say Thursday you disregard the Scriptures. Mark specifically says: "And when even was now come, because it was the Preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath, there came Joseph of Arimathaea, a councillor of honorable estate, who also himself was looking for the kingdom of God; and he boldly went in unto Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus." (Mark 15:42-43) If it was the day before the Sabbath (sabbaton, singular) as Mark says, then it was FRIDAY not Thursday. |
