Subject: Is "Paradise" the same as heaven? |
Bible Note: Jesus told the man on the stake next to him, 'Truely I tell you today, you will be with me in Paradise.' Eden was a Paradise that was to extend earthwide. Scripture gives those with a hope of going to heaven a limited number of 144,000. He called them his 'little flock.' They are heirs with Jesus and to rule with him as Kings and Priests for the 1000 year rule, then Jesus will submit the kingdom of God and himself and all things back to his Father again. Jesus also had another flock he mentioned, he also called them 'a great crowd', of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues. Knowing that there isn't anything that God cannot accomplish it would stand to reason that this Kingdom will have subject earthwide, those who live through Armageddon and those who come back in the resurrection and the earth still exists for its original purpose. God wanted the earths beauty spred around the globe and for people to live happily and serve them there. He would be ruling over us from the heavens. He says he shall do all he delights in. Why should that purpose ever change? Some will go to heaven, I hope to be right here. |
