Subject: Do you believe once save, always saved. |
Bible Note: ...Not only are we to "come" to Jesus for the free gift of salvation (Revelation 22:17); we must also "abide" in Him (John 15:4), after we have come. We must die daily (1 Corinthians 15:31), deny ourselves, take up our crosses daily, and follow Jesus (Luke 9:23). Otherwise, the Christian will soon grow cold and be overcome by sin. And "if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin" (Hebrews 10:26). We must come to Jesus? I would have to disagree with you on this point. Its Jesus who comes to us. (Eph. 1:4) just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love (John 15:19) "If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you. We are saved by by grace through Faith not by works. (Eph. 2:8-9)For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. Not maybe saved, not could lose it but HAVE eternal life. God Bless you, Darcy |
