1 | So the law was valid until his death? | Mark 7:19 | DocTrinsograce | 176218 | ||
Dear Face, I always find it interesting how people will either neglect Galatians or James, depending on which side of the antinomian or Judaizer issue they happen to embrace. In either case, when it comes to the forum, they tend to be pretty mono-thematic in their posts. In the words of Charles Spurgeon, one cannot help wondering "Why do they earnestly set themselves to confute what no one defends?" Burning straw men is tiring work. So is beating dead horses. I think you've made your position pretty clear after some 20 plus posts on the subject. Shall we move along with our study of the Bible? It contains quite a few other subjects worthy of our careful consideration. In Him, Doc |

What's the purpose of studying the rest of it if we can't even get the basics right? Our Saviour and Messiah says one thing clearly. Later we believe somebody who appears to talk out of both sides of his mouth. Somebody is wrong. Who is it? Or is the second person, namely Paul, saying something other than what common churchianity is teaching? Who do you believe, the person who's word last forever, or a bunch of people who have been beating the wrong drum? |

You wrote, "Later we believe somebody who appears to talk out of both sides of his mouth. Somebody is wrong. Who is it? Or is the second person, namely Paul, saying something other than what common churchianity is teaching? Who do you believe, the person who's word last forever, or a bunch of people who have been beating the wrong drum?" And then there's the guy beating his own drum... to his own beat... without the support of anyone excepting, possibly, Ellen G. White and Garner Ted Armstrong. Another good Spurgeon quote: "It seems odd, that certain men who talk so much about what the Holy Spirit reveals to themselves, should think so little of what He has revealed to others." Frankly, does it matter so much whether it is the left side of the ditch or the right side of the ditch into which one has fallen? Now may we, please, move on? |

Very well, I'll hold my peace on this subject. But I just don't understand why people throw away the base of what all has built on. |
