Subject: John 5:45Does it what you think it does? |
Bible Note: Face, Goodmorning. I think that's why I stated that the law wasnt abolished but fullfilled. That was stated by Jesus himself. That is one of the reasons I refer back to Romans 15:4 so often. The standard set by God never goes away. But we do live under a new covanent.Luke 22:20 We are living under a different administration as a result of what Jesus Christ accomplished. So it doesnt seem so ironic that he would tell the Apostles in Matthew 28:20 to observe all that I commanded you,and that is our call even today. As in your reference of 2 Timothy 3:14-17. I couldnt agree with you more. But in doing so 2 Timothy 2:15 must be bedrock principle in everything we do. Hebrews 8,9 help in understanding the old and new covenants and how they relate to us. The standard of God's Word is the standard, from Genesis to Revelation.Always has been always will be. And there is an expectation and a command by God that we live according to the standard of His Word. In Christ, lionheart |
