Bible Question:
Face, Does it? Your right Jesus didn't remove the law, He fullfilled it! When someone has received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is he still under the law? Give Romans 15:4 some consideration. In Christ, lionheart |
Bible Answer: If he gave us a standard to live by, do you think he is so mean to give us a standard that is impossible to live by? He lived by that standard, thus proving it could be done. Not only that, but he gives the Holy Spirit to empower us to do the same. It's us that shortchanges ourselves to say we can't live it. I'm not sure what you are referencing by Romans 15:4. "For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope." But I agree with it, these things were written for our learning. But from what I see, most churchianity wants to forget the things we are to learn, and it makes me ask why. These things were written for our comfort and hope. Wellbeing in general, actually. ISRV renders that verse "Rom 15:4 For whatever was written before was written for our instruction,1 that through endurance and encouragement of the Scriptures we might have the expectation." Footnote: 1 1Cor. 10:11, 2Tim. 3:14-17. Again, what most churchianity teaches is that the Scriptures that Paul and Yah'shua loved and taught from are relatively invalid now. I've heard people that Yah'shua lived a perfect life, he did it for them so they don't have to. That is mistaken. It was the penalty he paid. Read how important Yah'shua thought keeping the commands was: Mat 19:17 John 14:15 teaches if we don't guard his commands, we don't love him. Remember that he revealed the Father to Moses, and that he and the Father are one. Thus it was him that gave the commands to Moses. 1Cor 7:19 There is a difference between the keeping of the oral traditions and the law of Elohim. Oral tradition is not binding, never was. The commands of Yahweh are binding and expected to be kept. |
