1 | Why little sign of power in our churches | Mark 16:17 | DAIRYLEADER5 | 93360
I have no idea what a preterist is but I still want to know ,Where in the Bible does it say that the Holy Ghost is no longer our comforter, who leads us and guides us into all truth, and is the one who gives spiritual gifts to whomever he wills. You are ignoring the root of the question, in 2nd Tim 3;14-17,I hold to be true. I dont mind a good discussion so long as it is based on fact.Again where is it in scripture that all gifts stopped.

DAIRYLEADER5 -- FYI, In the Preterist view, all events of Revelation were fulfilled during the days of either Nero or Domitan. The book therefore is concerned only with events of the first century. This view was developed by the Jesuits and is still held by many in the Roman Church and by some Protestants. It essentially reduces the Book of Revelation to little more than a relic of antiquity with no message for later generations..... I hold to the Futuristic (Premilennialism) belief -- that Christ will return to usher in the milennial age. This perspective is in harmony with the message of the entire Bible. Far fewer interpretive enigmas are engendered by this approach. There are in addition to these, two other interpretative approaches to Revelation, the Historical (Postmilennialism) and the Idealist (Amilennialism). --Hank
