1 | Bible's view on suicide? | Matt 27:5 | EdB | 125553
Angel Most Excellent! Again the question should not be, "can a person commit suicide and go to heaven?" It should be, "can a saved person commit suicide?" I say no. Committing suicide is basically saying God, Christ and the Holy Spirit are not enough, you have to take your own life to get yourself through what ever. Where is the faith? Where is the trust? Where is the reliance on Christ? It isn't present. Therefore I don't see the person say being saved. EdB |

2 | Bible's view on suicide? | Matt 27:5 | JCrichton | 125567
Hi, EdB! You are so correct! We have the Rock of Salvation on our side and He called us to rely on Him (Matthew 11:28) and He will give us rest. Yet we run into problems when we persist on relying on ourselves and the world rather than on God! When our faith is tested, we should not walk, but run to Jesus Christ! If we abide in Christ, He will abide in us. And we will be able to face all situations, in His Power! (Philippians 4:13) God Bless! Angel |
