Searcher, I know it's been awhile since you asked your question, but it's a good one, and has motivated some meditation on the Lord and His word. Here are a couple of additional (adding to Daniel 12) references in the OT to resurrection: Isaiah 26:19 Your dead shall live; my dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust; for your dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast forth the dead. Job 19:26 After my skin is destroyed, Then in my flesh shall I see God, 27 Whom I, even I, shall see on my side. My eyes shall see, and not as a stranger. “My heart is consumed within me. Ezekiel 37:5 Thus says the Lord Yahweh to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. 6 I will lay sinews on you, and will bring up flesh on you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am Yahweh. Hope you're still out there, hope you're still in the word. May the Lord bless you. Come quickly, Lord Jesus. Listener |
