1 | I pray Thee and then He will hear? :)) | 2 Chr 6:40 | Ray | 105633
Hi Mommapbs, When we look at things from God's perspective do we go right away to a bold-faced WE? I agree that we are loved and treasured by God as His possession; but I am not sure that we are His inheritance. Looking at Ephesians 1:18 I would say that the inheritance in the saints is that spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. That Holy Spirit or holy spirit is the down payment and pledge of our inheritance. So really I should be expressing the balance that is there. God hears our words from His dwelling place, but from God's perspective we should be hearing His words of treasure. Psalm 5:1, "Give ear to my words, O (Lord), Consider my groaning. Heed the sound of my cry for help, my King, and my God, For to Thee do I pray. In the morning, O Lord, Thou wilt hear my voice; In the morning I will order my prayer to Thee/ and eagerly watch." 2 Chronicles 6:15, "who has kept with (Thy) servant David, my father, that which Thou has promised [Lit. spoken to] him; indeed, Thou hast spoken with Thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with Thy hand, as it is this day." So we pray to our King and our God and He hears; and the things that He promised to David, He has spoken with His mouth. It is a two-way conversation. John 8:47, "He who is of God hears the words of (God)..." From the heart, Ray |

2 | What is the son's inheritance? | 2 Chr 6:40 | Mommapbs | 105641
For your consideration: "But when the vine-growers saw the son, they said among themselves, 'This is the heir; come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.' Matthew 21:38. Who is the son and what is the son's inheritance? Blessings, mommapbs |

3 | What is the son's inheritance? | 2 Chr 6:40 | EdB | 105646
The Son's inheritance was all the Father owned. This parable is analogy of Satan's attempt to foil God's plan. He thought if he could kill Jesus that he could somehow claim all that God gave to Jesus. EdB |

5 | What did God give to Jesus? | 2 Chr 6:40 | EdB | 105664
I should have said what God was going to give to Jesus and that being the keys Hades and death. Rev. 1:18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death. And all Authority Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. EdB |

6 | What did God give to Jesus? | 2 Chr 6:40 | Mommapbs | 105667
EdB Interesting observation - I am connecting this parable to Eph 1:18,"I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints," . . . To me, the Church is also not only the Bride, but also part of His inheritance - which will be realized when we all get to Heaven. I also see people as the Lord's treasure - to me, this is what we can "lay up in Heaven"; people are true riches - do we value other as much as the Lord does? (How much do you value the man who cuts you off on the highway?) This gives new meaning to me as I consider what the Lord treasures . . . "Where your treasure is, your heart will be also." As I contemplate upon the "worth" of mankind to God, I am humbled and awed; I am also ashamed that I have so far to go with Him to love and value as He does. But He knows this . . . Blessings on your day. mommapbs |

7 | What did God give to Jesus? | 2 Chr 6:40 | EdB | 105671
mommapbs Good point! And one I should have included. Most certainly Satan was hoping to maintain his grip on us and that was snatched from his hands by Jesus' act of obedience to the father. EdB |
