1 | Take up another's offense or not? | Bible general Archive 4 | InGodITrust | 206175
Thank you Val, However, I still am quite certain that I had read a specific verse that said, "Do not take up an offense that occured to someone else." Was hoping that someone out there recalls that verse and/or knows where it is. Again, thanks InGodITrust |

2 | Take up another's offense or not? | Bible general Archive 4 | InGodITrust | 206154
Hello Cheri, Thanks for the response, but sorry not what I am looking for. I am so sure I read the verse, even stopping to ponder on it. If you think of 1 Cor 13 it makes perfect sense to not "take up an offense that is not yours." I think I saw the verse when I was researching for my book. It may be in the Psalms or Proverbs. I tried my exhaustive concordance without result. If you stop to think about it when you hear of or experience a friend or loved one being offended most ofton we know only one side of the story. Ofton throughout my life time I have taken up someone elses offense (becoming irritated or down right mad at them) only to find out I did not know the whole story and it was at the very least a complete "one sided version by the offendee) Well, anyone else willing to help or suggest, let me know. God Bless, InGodITrust |

Been searching for this verse, I use the NASB. Basically it says, "Do not take up the offense of another." Meaning, if a friend or relative etc. has suffered an offense against them then we are not to be offened (per-say) toward that individual. Not that we should not advise but do not "take up for them." We all have a tendency to be critical or be offended when someone we care about has been. Please help, I know I have seen the verse before. Thanks, InGodITrust |

Question: Hello, You old timers probibly thought I went away ..and maybe hoped I would.. for good! Hi Cheri... Got a good question, one that I need the help on; Been introduced to Team National. A Multilevel marketing company...PROBLEM! After much research I have settled many questions concerning the value of their membership. The cost, a whopping 2195.00 Knowing full well, although I can't put my finger on many of the verses, God warns us about making money the easy way, which I'm not. Problem; The concept is one of a co-op which will entitle me to savings on many purchases over the years. Depending on how much I spend (another Biblical issue)will reflect how soon I get my money back. I will have to borrow the 2195.00 but am promiced by my sponsor that I will get my money back within a week or two if my referals buy into the program with their 2195.00 (on my recommendation) Although their discounted purchasing program seems o.k. it is the assurance of my... money back... and the possibility that I will make money off my referals which means if they too sell their friends into the program (and of course they too may have to borrow the money)that I would (could) be responsible for leading many (personally) into this whole scheme. O.K... So, I feel uneasy about the Pure Biblical Idea of such a scenerio. I am not looking for an easy buck or a get rich quick deal but have spiritual reservations about involving others (Love your neighbor as yourself)in such a... borrow to save... and then a get your friends to do likewise ...situation. Please......just mature SOLID Biblical advise. I have more than enough common sense to see the red flags if they truly due exist. InGodITrust |

12 | "The Great Commission" ? | Col 1:23 | InGodITrust | 192809
Derowr, I will just let the Forum 'watchdogs' deal with you. I have nothing more to say to a person who thinks he has "The Truth," when all o Biblical Christianity considers your opinions heresy. InGodITrust |

13 | "The Great Commission" ? | Col 1:23 | InGodITrust | 192803
Derowr, Since you insist on being evasive in your response there is no need for one. I believe what you are proposing is out of the guidlines of the SBF. If this is the case, sir, you need to take your thoughts and erroneous position somewhere else as what you are saying is heresy. InGodITrust |

14 | "The Great Commission" ? | Col 1:23 | InGodITrust | 192801
Derowr, I beg your pardon, the Great Commission has not been fulfilled. I don't know what version of the Bible you are using nor do I know your 'frame of reference.' The NASB does not say nor indicate "was." The rendering is "the Gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven,..." The KJV renders it preached 'to' every creature. The Greek for to is the preposition 'ev' which means "in" that means "within definate space or limits." The Great Commission will not be fulfilled until the return of Christ to rule and reign. So, my friend, please clearify exactly what you mean and are trying to say. InGodITrust |

Searcher, I think we have an under aged person here. I addressed all these questions yesterday. Perhaps if wolfcreek does not own up to his age and the rules of the Forum we should report or ignore his questions. That's my take on this.. InGodITrust |

18 | if he is cursing 'cause the Lord said to | 2 Sam 16:1 | InGodITrust | 191121
Everyoneisjedidiah, Very good question. One that would be very puzzling indeed in King James, or whatever, unless one has a Bible with commentary in the margins. This is an excellent example of David's humility and genuine heart of God. Whenever we are assaulted wrongly and show grace and kindness, as well as forgiveness we are demonstrating the very heart of God. They call it Agape Love..... David the King had absolute power. Most Kings I assure you would have had the man executed on the spot with full authority and no one would question the King. Not only that they would have condoned it completely. David, fully aware of his own personal sins, humbled himself to the very idea that God may indeed be speaking through this man Shimei. What a beautiful picture of Christ Himself. Though wrongly accused, just as Jesus was, he uttered no threats, had all power, and suffered a wrong without the thought of retaliation. God bless you for bring to our attention a magnificent example to the body of Christ. InGodITrust |

20 | In the Spirit | Rev 1:10 | InGodITrust | 191104
Blazer, Goodmorning...... This is not a matter of us getting "more into the Spirit," but rather God through the Holy Spirit overwhelming our spirit with His. To be in the Spirit as John was meanings he was consummed by the Spirit as it over took him into a vision. InGodITrust |
