Personal profile for user screen name: InGodITrust Greetings in Christ,My name is Rick, my Hebrew name, which was unknown to me until recently, is Arial Goldie. When my ancestors came to America they failed to let the next generation know that we are Jewish. I am not sure where to start. I would like to avoid "labeling myself" as a Baptist or any other denominational affiliation as these are just that, labels. Personally I know Catholics that deeply love the Lord; I know Baptists the same, my Dad was Episcopal and had a very deep realtionship with God. Due to my recent discovery of being Jewish I have gone to several Messianic Jewish Synagogues. If you have never gone to one you have no idea, Jewish or not, what you are missing. Over the years I have attended and learned from many groups and denominations. I am, however, very conservative, fundamental, and evangelical. I believe in the absolute sovereignty of God, the total depravity of man and Salvation through Christ alone without any merit on our part. I have intensely studied doctrines and theology for 40 some years. The Lockman Foundation are among my heros. I have learned a lot from John MacArthur and Jack Hayford. I adore Chuck Swindoll and try never to miss Joyce Meyer. The Independent Churches of America and the Mennonite Brethern are both very close. I am not Pentecostal but am a member of a Assembly of God church because of their love and devotion. I don't speak in tongues and am not free-will.Recently I have become active in a local Messianic Jewish Synagogue, "what I have been missing all these years is without question "unbelievable." Our Jewish brethren know so much more than we could count. I have served in the mission field, youth and bus ministry, associate pastor, and rescue mission work. I have drove truck for a short while and witnessed from coast to coast. I am the father of four children, Teena and I have two sons. I have suffered divorse, leaving behind two daughters. This has greatly limited what I have been able to do, both personally and in the ministry. For twenty years I was married to Teena who remains the most wonderful and precious wife any man ever lived could have known. She died on May 6, 2007 on the way home from a trip to Oklahoma in the arms of my 16 year old son. I have written a book on agape-love which is soon to be released. It is the first doctrinal analysis of agape (perhaps) ever written. I was born in Montana and raised in California. I attended Bible college and then went to John Brown University majoring in psychology and Bible. Through many years of trials and tribulations I have grown closer to God than I could imagine. Little did I know He would take the love of my life at such a young age, Teena was 55. UPDATE.....(July 12, 07) G*d has brought a wonderful and fabulous Messianic Jewish widow into my life. Her name is Marsha. A little advise; when under much stress and trials never say to God, "Dear Lord I am no Job, not even close." Remember, God may answer your prayers for humility, patience, gentleness, and genuine love, but my precious friend, "be ready to pay the price." May God richly bless you and remember always; season your responses on the forum with a ton of agape love and please please "never assume you know the heart and reason why some seemingly foolish questions are asked. I believe, at least most of the time, they would not be asking "if they were not seeking."
