Greetings, Been away for a while, G*d is really blessing, thank you Doc for your note. From what I know I agree wholeheatedly. My Rabbi, who is Messianic, says that we may even have a special and very unique relationship/companionship that will continue for those of us who have lost spouses. He is very confident of this fact as Jewish folks seem to have an insight far deeper than the Gentile church. Just my thoughts, Rabbi is supposed to back up with scriptures that fact of which I will pass along. May G*d richly bless and keep you. InGodITrust |

Fytrobert, Good question..... Jesus is not requiring a specfic name but rather "a specific acknowledgement." In order to have reseptive prayers basically, there are two requirments. One, what John 14:14 is seeking is "do you believe Jesus is the Son of God, the One and only?" And the One and only direct link to God the Father? Two, "Whatever we ask must be according to His will and purpose, not necessarily ours." Question answered? InGodITrust |

'AWESOME.......' Spurgeon lives on; His godly life and example is to all of us "inspiration magnifica." mag·nif·ic mag·nif·ic [mag níffik] or mag·nif·i·cal [mag níffik’l] adj (archaic) 1. magnificent: magnificent 2. big and imposing: large in size and impressive in appearance 3. using impressive words: using high-sounding vocabulary, often for effect [15th century. Directly, or via Old French magnifique , from Latin magnificus , literally “performing great actions,” from magnus “great” (see magnify).] |

47 | Greek Question in Romans | Rom 7:25 | InGodITrust | 189940
Amen rzaac, Your answer is right on brother!! Exactly what I would have said had you not said it. While the Bible demands faith, our faith is a gift from God and not something we "muster up." The question so many Christians can't seem to understand is "everything, absolutely everything" is from God, through God and to God. While the Word seems to indicate we must do this, we must have that, we must be this, we all at times miss the whole point. "For it is God who is at work in you; both to will and to work for His good pleasure." Philippians 2:13 The Word as well as the Law points to our need and our lack of ability to do so. It is through prayer, humility, and yes faith, that we present ourselves each and every day to our Lord and beg Him to "give us the will, the desire, and yes the faith to live the life He has for us. "Without Me you can do nothing." Jesus said in John. Blessings my friend, God's Day to you, InGodITrust |

justme, You simply amaze me,you continue to ignore the obvious, made no reference to scriptures I have quoted, continue to blame me for your lack of understanding, and continue to try to get me to read your precious Hank Hanegraaf while you yourself continue to take pot shots at me. I am extremely conservative, do not (as I have told you and told you) support the heretics nor the likes of Copeland, Dr. J.C. Fredrick Price, Rod Parsley, and so on which you continue to ignore. You are indeed trying to justify your pathetic attitude and self righteous positon. God help you and to imagine you pastor a church!!! You pat me on the back for losing my wife, tell me "I must be under stress and out of control," while all along you are a phoney and a back stabber. Please do me and the entire Forum a favor and do not respond to me any longer as I will do the same. InGodITrust |

50 | Greek Question in Romans | Rom 7:25 | InGodITrust | 189902
Greetings Tim, Very good info, thanks for the web site, I have very limited Greek resources (obviously); may I ask how readily you were able to find "apa ouv" and the twelve references? Thank you, I always appreciate your thoughts and wisdom on the Forum, "ata boy!" InGodITrust |

51 | Greek Question in Romans | Rom 7:25 | InGodITrust | 189899
rzaac, I too am in Colorado, Fremont County to be exact. Welcome to the forum. I have not found a suitable web site to aid one with the Greek, although I have not looked that hard. Let me give you what help I can. Apa, Strongs 686 is an inferential particle. inference. 1. conclusion, a conclusion drawn from evidence or reasoning 2. logic reasoning process, the process of reasoning from a premise to a conclusion 3. implication, something that is implied Apa means, "Then or therefore, and indicating an interrogative." interrogative, adj. 1. questioning, questioning or seeming to question somebody or something 2. grammar used to ask a question, consisting of or used in asking a question "Ouv" Strong's 3767 is a conjuction. conjunction (plural conjunctions) 1. combining of several things, the joining together or combining of two or more things 2. simultaneous occurrence, a simultaneous occurrence of events or circumstances 3. grammar connecting word, a word that is used to link sentences, clauses, phrases, or words, for example, “and,” “but,” or “if." So, not sure exactly how to answer your question? To find another example where "apa ouv" is used would require that you deposit 50.00 "finders fee!" Just kidding, but it would entale a lot of time. The last question is that "Paul did not answer his question in verse 24. Verse 25 is the answer to his question,i.e. "Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?" The answer, verse 25: Thanks be to God (the answer) through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then,(apa ouv;I have concluded that this is indeed the answer)"On the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin." This is the contrast between our new man in Christ and the old man of the flesh. God has left us with this constant struggle between the flesh and the spirit. Why? I have asked myself this a thousand times. The answer; so that we too will share the reward and (partial) glory with Christ Jesus who Himself came to earth to deliver (eventually in our new body)us from the power of sin. Hope this helps, let us know. InGodITrust |

justme, Yes brother, this mule has been rode too far. You have yet to answer up to your support for Hank Hanegraaf in spite of all that has been said. Obviously you know very little about the Golden Rule and I quote your very own words: The Golden Rule is not applical for those who have privale jets, gold fixtures in their bathrooms, or airconditioning in the dogs house. Rick have you read any of Joyce meyers books? An interesting fact is that rat poison is ninty five percent good food, but deadly! I believe I have ridden this Missouri mule about as far I can. We are the fork in the road, which direction you take is up to you. Blessings. Now you have blasted me for criticising Hank Hanegraaf while you have no problem criticising Joyce Meyer! Again I say to you, "Don't you see the irony?" I believe, justme, you are indeed a hypocrite. It's too bad you are so ignorant, I would suggest you do a study on the subject. As a church leader I have found just such an attitude and ignorance of agape love and the Golden Rule for the past 15 years as I have studied it out. To say that the Goldent Rule does not apply to Joyce Meyer, or anyone else, shows how far off the mark and (it would seem) willfully ignorant of the subject. It seems obvious to me, as well as perhaps everyone else who has read our posts that you are in dire need to a good study on 1 Corinthians 13. And may I suggest that you do so in the Greek as the English leaves much to be desired. Like so many I have encountered on the Forum you put up a good argument and completely ignore the questions, repeatedly, that I have asked you and addressed to you. It's Christians like you and Hank Hanegraaf that cause so much division in the world. I'm sorry that you have repeatedly taken the position you have and lack Biblical insight into the very thing Jesus Christ has left us to do. "Love your neighbor as yourself;" Judge not that you be not judged; "Let all you do be done in love." 1 Cor 16:14 "Do not cast your pearl before swine." (as Hank has done) "And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I deliver my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. Love is patient, love is KIND, and is not jealous; LOVE DOES NOT BRAG AND IS NOT ARROGANT." (re:Hank Hanegraaf) "Do nothing from selfishness or :EMPTY CONCEIT,but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another AS MORE IMPORTANT THAN HIMSELF." (re: Hank Hanegraaf) Lest I wear myself out, I will say no more. InGodITrust |

Greetings justme, I must say you certainly are "tenasious" I mean that in a good sense. Bless you my brother, you are a man who sticks by what he believes. I deeply respect you for that. No I have not read any of Hank's stuff. Please understand that a person who finds it necessary to "bring down" ALL those (emphasis "all") who they determine wrong "PUBLICALLY" deserve no slack nor do they deserve whatever else their opinion is. The Golden Rule,"love your neighbor" (brother is included) as yourself requires an extremely humble and "bear all, endures all, forgives all" attitude. No matter what else Hank Hanegraaf does or says he is not worth listening to. Anyone, no matter all else, who does not have the maturity, discernment, wisdom to know how he is to conduct himself, especially in a public forum where many non-believer's may also see what has been said or written deserve's no such consideration. When it comes to down right heretics I have no problem with going public. But, this is to be done within the "public church at large" and not openly as Hank has done. Had Hank done so over the internet, a Christian one, or even Christian T.V. (not really secluded any longer) I would not have a problem. To put Joyce Meyer in the league with Copeland, Dr. K.C.Price, Joel Osteen, and on and on just shows to me that "it's open season on all Hank (or anyone like him) disagrees with." "WHY DO YOU THINK THE WORLD LAUGHS AT US AS WE CAN'T AGREE OR GET ALONG WITH EACH OTHER? WHY SOULD I BECOME A CHRISTIAN WHEN WE ARE SHOOTING EACH OTHER AND MANY TIMES 'IN THE BACK?' Plese forgive me I know capitolization is "shouting" but dog on it anyway how can you or anyone else defend the likes of Hank Hanegraaf? It does not matter what else "good things or good writings he has." He is violating the most sacred principals of agape-love and humility but "lumping everyone in the same category." I absolutely abhore false teachers and false doctrine. I am not Pentecostal per say. I love my Pentecostal brethren and think they do have allot of "twisting the Scriptures to back up their position." But, do the Southern Baptists agree with Methodists? Do the truly born again Catholics agree with the Protestants? Let's stop attacking each other (other than the down right false heretics which fit Matthew 7;16-24; "I NEVER KNEW YOU...." and take the position of Acts 5:37-41; "LEST WE FIGHT AGAINST GOD.' Jesus said, "Those who follow and know Me, another they will not follow or listen to. My sheep know My voice......" John 10:27 Also, I am assuming by your profile that you are Calvanistic or somewhat, so allow God to take care of the real heretics and guide the misguided (if you really think Joyce Meyer is amoung them) and let God be God. Anyone who does not pray, study their Bible, and falls for "EVERY WIND OF DOCTRINE" in a sense, to God grant us His grace, deserves exactly what they are getting; a bunch of mixed up junk because they take their salvation too losely. My friend John 13:34-35 within the church also requires us to exercise "tough love." Anyone who continually attacks other Christians on a wholesale level should be sensored and ignored by the body of Christ. Matthew 18 has been taken out of context by the vast majority of Christians. Matthew 18 is address false teachings or seriously misleading teachings that would have an impact on immature younger Believers. To get the context one must start in Matthew 17. I never intended our discussion to be so controversial nor public. You are correct brother, I agree, you never did ask for an opinion. But, on the other hand "all I did was state an opinion" in one brief short sentence of which (I humbly bring to your attention)you turned into a monumental discussion covering three days and who knows how many people have been affected. Again, I do admire you; your profile and responses to my posts have been most gracious and thoughtful. But, please understand brother, it is you that turned this whole thing into a monster and drew it out time after time when I would have been satisfied with making one short and simple statement "I would not use Hanks's opinions or thoughts for toilet paperl" Is that unkind, unthoughtful, ungracious, absolutely. Am I violating agape love perhaps, but I am upset and believe Hank Hanegraaf has done much harm and damage to God's over all true Kingdom. The Golden Rule, "love your neighbor as yourself."...........Do not judge least you too be judged. For by your standard of measure it will be measured unto you." Both of these in Matthew 7............ Again, I do respect and appreciate you my friend, all I did was make one brief statement of which, at this time, I will not withdraw as it was and is "an opinion." Personally I know many folks who feel the same way and think Hank Hanegraaf is not worth the matches to burn up whatever he says. Blessings, InGodITrust |

justme, Well I couldn't disagree more with John Hagee thinking that "you are not saved." As far as the other writers who are selling books and have or may have distorted many issues, this could well be true. However, I know a good many Greek scholars who are dispensational including Dr. John MacArthur. My Jewish friends, of which John Hagee is a staunch defender (himself not Jewish) are dispensational in the balanced Biblical sense. Addressing your other post I would agree with you on all except Joyce Meyers. I do not agree with her personal views, the name it and claim it bunch she sometimes hangs around with, but to put Joyce in the same league with Copeland and so on is down right wrong. You are criticising me for criticising Hanegraaf who makes his living "tearing down all those [he] disagrees with seems rather ironic. Then, as I just said, you are now criticising me publically for voicing my opinion of which you asked for anyones "opinion" in the first place. Don't you see the irony? I do thank you sincerely for your concern and thoughts about my wife Teena. I see you have a great and generous heart, thank you. However, my dear friend, I will stand by my opinion of Hanegraaf. No matter what books he has wrote that may indeed be good, he spends most of his time tearing down good godly folks; and I'll bet ya he has not (as you told me I should) contacted them personally to voice "his opinion." If I can "stir up" folks on the forum so be it, is that not exactly what it is for? And have you not done exactly the same by utilizing approximately two full pages of Forum to criticise me and defend Hank Hanegraaf? The irony seems to me to be quit obvious..... But, thank you and may we all benefit. InGodITrust |

Kalos, My sincerest appology. Unfortunately "after" I posted a response is when I realized it was part of the MacArthur quote. I am a staunch defender of dispensationalism and Dr.John MacArthur. Like so many things in Christianity what started out as Biblically based truth, that of the original dispensationalist teaching, has been all turned around and twisted to where, now, it is being attacked without qualification. I too realized after looking at your personal profile, that there is no way I have known MacArthur longer than you've been alive (I'm 59) Again, my apology, not beena an easy day for me. Hank Hanegraaff has stirred up all kinds of problems for Biblical dispensationalism. Also, I am a die-hard to the death defender of the Jews and Israel to a fault.... We (remember I used to be a gentle) owe everything to God's chosen the Jews, as the gentiles were grafted in to the original roots of Judaism. Many, if not most, of America's churches are turning their back on the Jews and making claims that "the church is spiritual Israel." Of course this has been prophesied but it sickens me and scares me that America is headed for doom. God bless America as I too fought for her and our freedoms in Southeast Asia. Anyway Kalos, I violated my own sacred rules and was unfair and unkind to your first response. Please forgive me and let's move on. (I love John MacArthur, have followed him since he graduated from Talbot.) InGodITrust |

kalos, My friend, obviously you don't understand what I do about dispensationalism. I have followed John MacArthur probibly longer than you have been alive. Honestly, your own words before you quote John MacArthur condradict what MacArthur is stating. You apparantly don't understand the balanced Biblical view of dispensationalism as I and MacArthur do. I couldn't agree more with John. I firmly believe that the church and Israel are completely seperate, "I am Jewish and born again." Please "don't judge a book by it's cover." (and if you do please read mine) If I misunderstood you please except my appology but your initial statement contradicts what MacArthur and a correct position on dispensationalism is all about. Sincerely at your service, InGodITrust |

dhill1, That indeed is the "million dollar question!" Only speculation; either near or next to it (which I seriously doubt) or an earth quake could destroy the Dome of the Rock? 59 | What stands in the Holy place, today? | 2 Thess 2:4 | InGodITrust | 189757
dhill1, The holy place refers to the "rebuilt Temple" in Jerusalem yet to be constructed. This will happen just before or during the tribulation period. The plans to rebuild are well under way by Israel, as I understand it, awaiting God's time table. Question answered? InGodITrust |

60 | rewards for works | 1 Cor 13:1 | InGodITrust | 189751
Try God 1st, Well I don't know about you, but I hope to leave earthly works here! All kidding aside "it's not what you do in life, it is why and how you do it." If what you and I do is not done in-love and for the right motive and the right reason "all is vain and striving after the wind." Study 1 Corinthins 13, all of it. Then go to Philippians 2, then Matthew 6:33 "seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousnes.." Matthew 22:36-40 making sure you love your neighbor with all the same fervor and commitment that you claim to have for loving God with all your heart, soul, and mind. That oughta get ya started, right? InGodITrust |
