141 | Withdrawn or taken out of the way? | 2 Thess 2:7 | InGodITrust | 188041
Searcher, Guess it depends on what version of the Bible you are reading?? What is the difference, withdrawn or taken out of the way? Are they not one and the same? Still here...... InGodITrust |

142 | significance of 4 requests specifically | Ex 12:11 | InGodITrust | 188038
Searcher, Just my point Searcher, "as fully prepared for a journey." These are just my thoughts, the scriptures are full of prophetic pictures. I am very careful with these. Do you think what I said is "out of sync with prophecy or otherwise?" Eager to hear from you....... InGodITrust |

145 | Who is the restrainer? | 2 Thess 2:7 | InGodITrust | 188032
Greetings Mark, Always appreciate what you have to say. Have you given much thought to (possibly) the restrainers activity all throughout history? Maybe this is just something I have contimplated. In light of what scriptures say, the tremendous evil that abides in all of men's hearts, do you think "the restrainer" has been at work all along? I have thought quite a bit about this. I believe (just an opinion based on what I've seen) the restrainer has been at work since the fall. I truly think that mankind would have readily destroyed each other long ago. I think God has, all along, restrained the evil in mankind. Therefore, leading into the "great tribulation," where the evil intents of man's heart will run wild, that God will withdraw His restraining. This accounts for the tremendous evil and chaos that will persue. Therefore, the church, meaning each individual believer, each one possessing the Holy Spirit, that now God withdraws His holy (us) presents from this world to judge it like never before. Thus whatever or whoever is "the restrainer" would naturally need to be "withdrawn." What-do-you-think? InGodITrust |

146 | significance of 4 requests specifically | Ex 12:11 | InGodITrust | 188030
Jellybean66, You have posted a very interesting question which may result in numerous answers. Since this is the passover and God usually includes "some clues for the future," it could be several "pictures." The death angel is coming, he will "passover those under the blood." I think, in a sense, it is a picture of when God will take the righteous out of this world "in the blink of an eye." Hurry, make haste, be prepared for God is coming." "It is the Lord's passover." Let's see who and what the others on the forum think? God bless, InGodITrust |

147 | Who is he who restrains?ebrain. | 2 Thess 2:7 | InGodITrust | 188026
Yes Cheri, I don't think we have "authority," but only in that God answers our prayers, which is our authority. God is ultimately ruling over all things and He puts it in our hearts to pray for His will. Does this fit? InGodITrust |

148 | Who is he who restrains?ebrain. | 2 Thess 2:7 | InGodITrust | 188023
cheri, Amen, sister, God is and will keep "the world in check" until we "check out." I have no desire to start more controversy but "why would God want His Bride here," when all-hell-will-break-out? Just my o-pin-e-on.......... InGodITrust |

149 | Who is he who restrains?ebrain. | 2 Thess 2:7 | InGodITrust | 188021
Mark, 2 Thess2:7 is said to be the church (believers)because we are still here, and as God's agency, our collective spirit-filled lives hold him back. The other opinion is a government agency of some kind. Both are speculative opinions. The restrainer "being taken out" in Revelations is said to be the Holy Spirit, which up to then has held back "evil in general." Hope this helps........ InGodITrust (hope you all do to!) |

150 | How many ressurections are there? | 2 Thess 2:3 | InGodITrust | 188017
M.Royal, If you count all three, as I do, the first resurrection is the gathering up (rapture) of living believers and the those in the grave that were believers, is the first. The second would be those who came to Christ during the "great tribulation," being resurrected to the thousand year period. The final and third will be all the unsaved-lost dead for the final resurrection. And for all the final judgment, believers unto the bema seat or Christ's judgment, the lost unto "the great white throne judgment." At this time the lost and Satan will be cast into the lake of fire forever. It's been many years since I studied this out but that is "a basic explanation." I think that answers Rev.20:4,6 Verse 5, "this is the first resurrection," refers back to verse 4, those who died for Christ during the great tribulation. Giving you a blessing, InGodITrust |

157 | what are the names of Jesus' sisters? | Matthew | InGodITrust | 187973
rccola, Greeting In Christ, Here's what I know: Question: "Did Jesus have brothers and sisters (siblings)?" Answer: Jesus’ brothers are mentioned in several Bible verses. Matthew 12:46, Luke 8:19, and Mark 3:31 say that Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see Him. The Bible tells us that Jesus had four brothers: James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas (Matthew 13:55). The Bible also tells us that Jesus had sisters, but they are not named or numbered (Matthew 13:56). In John 7:1-10, His brothers go on to the festival while Jesus stays behind. In Acts 1:14, His brothers and mother are described as praying with the disciples. Later, in Galatians 1:19, it mentions that James was Jesus’ brother. The most natural conclusion of these passages is to interpret that Jesus had actual blood siblings. http://www.gotquestions.org/Jesus-siblings.html Blessings, InGodITrust |

158 | gap therory | Gen 1:1 | InGodITrust | 187970
chach, Good question, and full of debate unless you take the Bible "literally." Last time I heard, the answer was around 6000 to 6500 years. By those that take the 24 hour periods in Genesis as "literal." Secular scientist that use "carbon dating," for one, are in trouble with most creationist scientist. There seems to be many problems with carbon dating. Experiments have been done on bones that were years old and the carbon dating showed them to be thousands of years old. This ought to get some responses by others! Best I can do for now.......... InGodITrust |

159 | symbol of fish | NT general Archive 1 | InGodITrust | 187969
justsomebody, The fish symbol, here's what I was able to find: The fish was an early symbol of Christian faith that endures today on bumper stickers and businesses as a sign of Christian faith. The fish is thought to have been chosen by the early Christians for several reasons: the Greek word for fish (ICHTUS), works nicely as an acrostic for "Jesus Christ, God's Son, Savior" the fish would not be an obvious Christian symbol to persecutors Jesus' ministry is associated with fish: he chose several fishermen to be his disciples and declared he would make them "fishers of men." It is said that during the persecution of the early church, a Christian meeting someone new would draw a single arc in the sand. If the other person was a Christian, he or she would complete the drawing of a fish with a second arc. If the second person was not a Christian, the ambiguity of the half-symbol would not reveal the first person as a Christian. The second fish symbol above is the ICHTHUS fish, with the Greek word for fish written out to emphasize the symbolic acrostic described above. Although the word looks like IXOYE, the letters are from the Greek alphabet, so the "I" is actually an iota, the "X" is actually a chi, the "O" is actually a theta, the "Y" is an upsilon, and the "E" or "C" at the end is a sigma. Taking the first sound from each of these Greek letter names, we get the transliteration into our alphabet of ICHTHUS. Today, when Christians (in the West) do not need to worry about persecution, the Christian fish symbol often has "Jesus" written inside or includes a cross symbol. And of course, there have been many spoofs and variations of the popular Christian symbol, such as the famous "Darwin fish" (with legs). The fish is also a symbol of baptism, since a fish is at home in the water. http://www.religionfacts.com/christianity/symbols/fish.htm Yours truly in Him, InGodITrust |
